It's all about wages I think.

Wont take a cut in his 200k per week inter wage but as good as he is he hasn't got a hope of getting anywhere near that elsewhere.

I sort of understand his point. As ridiculous as that money is, it's not like he's refusing to take a pay cut to move to a different club and play football. The club are asking him to do the same job for less money when he has a fixed-term contract.

I'm still sticking with my initial prediction of re-sign Walcott, sign no one else, parade the overspending on Walcott like it's the defining proof we are a "rich club", proceed to watch his inconsistency for several more years before offloading him for far less money.

Considering the options Turnip has left us with, signing Theo up is vital. I'd much rather we kept him than lose him and end up playing Klingon ffs, because you know the Clueless One won't sign a decent replacement (if he signs anyone at all).

They also cant do their maths 4 years @ 90 K a week is 18.72 and a 3 mill sign on is 21.72 million !

The ONLY player we will sign in January is Thierry Henry. Because there is no value in the market.
