Wenger Out protest thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

And sorry to be the boring prick but make absolutely sure that the company confirm to you that there are definitely no matchday regulations which would prevent this in the area as well as getting them to agree a primary route and a contingency plan.

I'll try finalise it tomorrow...we need to agree as to what goes on the boards. I think IN WENGER WE RUST goes on the back. I will make sure that these guys can guarantee getting near to the stadium as well.

We have enough to cover the plane and the billboard....lets do that, plus we get the balloons for the Man City game and perhaps the beach balls for an away game. That would work as the lads would all be together in the ground and the away ground staff would probably be a lot more tolerant that Wenger's SS guards at Cashburton.

We need to decide what goes on either side of the board as well.

I think in Wenger we Rust goes on the back. The production costs are more than the actual Billboard so lets go BIG and be creative.
YAY to the mobile billboard from me.
Billboard yes from me

IN WENGER WE RUST is good

Gazidis 2011 quote about wenger and the fans relationship is also a good option

#WENGEROUT - NO NEW CONTRACT

#TIMEFORCHANGE (a bit vague really)

Can we use images or pictures?

Will the billboard only have the two sides, or will it be a digital one? One idea is to have a list of all the shit results and high scoring defeats of the past several years then put 'When does it end?'. A mention of his £23k per day salary would also help get people's backs up.

We could have the lookalike as a one-off, but have to tread that fine line. We need to find something a little different for each protest, but keep up the bread-and-butter of home game marches and not let it get too silly. What are we planning for the other away games? I presume some will demonstrate at those, that will need to be co-ordinated too.

We need to grow the numbers marching too. The marches will stay in the news and it will light a fire under TOF's arse, whatever we do. The media will keep questioning him and he hates that. TOF will say something stupid or ego-centric enough that will drive fence-sitters to our side and may piss them off enough to march with us.

Like them all except the one that says "$TAN & WENGER OUT" - no muddling of messages, we are strictly focused on Wenger for now 8)

Me thinks the Gazidis 2011 quote on manager/fan relationship is damning stuff to be plastered on a mobile billboard, IMO deffo should be used.

Good options all round :barscarf:

Great semi-final draw, the one which means we can keep up the momentum.

Love the idea of the look a like as long as he has remarkable consistency and great mental strength.

I truly think we need to do as much as we can before it is too late - I think, overall, by the semi final it will be too late.

Fantastic work lads. I love it that everyone is contributing in various ways but some of you are going beyond the call of duty and it's very much appreciated.

100% behind the mobile billboard idea and the Gazidis quote is a must for this !

Lads

Just called up the look alike the one begees posted http://lookalikes.co.uk/celebrity-looka ... lookalike/

Spoke to the agent the cost is £500 up to 3 hours plus travel which he said would be around £60

I told him the general outline and he could see no problems, he couldn't say if the goy was defo free but thought at this stage he would be

Have a look and a think about it, if we do proceed I'm not really in a position to front the cash so would have to plead to one of you with deeper pockets to front and claim back off the fund

PM me if you want contact details

I like the idea too but if we succeed we'll be doing the look-alike guy out of future bookings so maybe don't give him too much info.
