Deal is done, with all terms understood to be agreed.
An official announcement is expected in the coming weeks, I’m told.
Ex-Atletico Madrid sporting director Andrea Berta was the club’s back-up option.

He is from the Basque country and is leaving Real Sociedad to join us which is surprisingly where Zubamendi is also coming from. Apparently he was a goalkeeper another of Inaki Cana's mates ?
Before that he was a manger at the ASPIRE Academy for football development which is based in Qatar.

Fuck me, Legohead likes bringing fellow Basques into the club. We'll soon be able to start the Highbury branch of ETA.

Another one from Real Sociedad. I imagine it'll be Kevin Richardson next.

I remember this from years ago it was within our Politics Studies (and World Conflicts) etc : their symbol and motto from years ago... An Axe (representing armed struggle ) with a Serpent (. ) representing politics) entwined about the Axe.

Well there are rumours that Santi Carzola might join the Arsenal Coaching staff when he hangs up his boots and He and Arteta are Big Mates.Perryashburtongroves wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2025 6:37 pmAnother one from Real Sociedad. I imagine it'll be Kevin Richardson next.

He’s always been top candidate and gave total priority to Arsenal despite several bids.
All documents are in place, deal set to be sealed as reported this week.

Arsenal are currently exploring ways to expand the stadium. I think they should look to go to 100 000 rather than 80 000.
They sell out the Emirates to all home games and have a large waiting list for season tickets. We also have a huge following and so should expand large now rather than later.

As for Andrea Berta:

From various resources in the media & online
Athletico Madrid & Simeone are said to be well pissed off about losing him. He has a Very Good record for bringing in 'Talent', and is reputed to be 'Ruthless' in the transfer market and takes no shit from whomever he is dealing with and has an eye for what & who is needed.
He is understood to have a well established 'network of staff / people' who do his scouting etc. So hopefully our rather than less impressive Buying & Selling of players under Edu (Who?) will improve dramatically; Simeone is understood to be well pissed off as they ( Athletico Madrid) were in the final stages of him signing a new contract. But in January The Krankies Reps 'convinced him to join Arsenal FC' as their (new) Sporting Director.
All the main rags in the UK have done pieces on him, but to read them (online) you have to pay or sign up for endless cookies every time you go online.. Except the Guardian...

What do you propose we do - knock it down, bulldoze the new flats near it, build a new underground station etc etc.
Sorry but never going to happen
Re: KROENKE OUT / The Board / Staff etc (merged thread)
They're most likely to build 'down' evidently, dig it out and put the pitch in way below surface level.
Should be able to get the tube direct from Kings Cross onto the pitch!!

Our new tactic to defend corners is for a tube train to pull in and let all the passengers off, creating mass confusion.

If Simeone is so upset at losing him, may I suggest that he comes and manages us next season. From various resources in the media & online

All good ideas, but not necessary. Seriously, they could go up and down. Make the tiers steeper if needs be. You'd be surprised how many more seats you could get in which is what they desire for revenue.
Given the technology at hand now they could look at ways to expand in a virtual environment without having to dig one shovel of sand to see if it's possible to do a 100K.
Alighting at Kings Cross and stepping onto the pitch, now there's a novel idea.
