THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

It would be worth the air fare alone to go on the next pre-season tour - and when any of those fucktards hold up those despot like pictures set them on fire!

In fact we may fall even further off the pace before too long. What really disappoints me is that within the club there was clearly not enough of a move to use the cup win as a starting point for a great new era of success. Once again we did not have enough of a clear plan for the transfer window, and are already paying the price.
Absolutely agree with the sentiment about the FA Cup win being a springboard. Of course Wenger leaving would have been an integral part of that process but I still can't believe how badly we are playing.

Unfortunately the reality is yet again the title was gone by the start of September.
title was gone when arsene signed for another three years. We're always "not too far away", that should be on the club emblem.

Arsene is not used to holding anyone to account certainly not himself, so no surprised he felt uncomfortable.

That's exactly gonna happen - when old ferguscum left manure, he left behind a piss poor squad that is gonna take a long while to sort out, and le cock will do the very same to us. The difference was, that as weak as the manure squad was/is, old whiskey nose still knew enough to organise and motivate them and keep the trophies rolling in. We have no organisation and le cock is totally unable to motivate or set a fire under them, so we will continue to watch laboured slow football with no tempo and desire and stuggle to beat teams like hull, Leicester, palace etc

Of course there will be an upside for all the akb fans though.......when wenker finally fcuks off, it wont matter who comes in to replace him because they will struggle with the mess he left behind and all the akb w.nkers will be able to claim that we are fcuked without the senile French c..t

The cracks will open when one or two of players stand up to him, my guess is some already have.
It's not like the time when most of team held Wenger in high esteem, grateful he gave them the chance to play for the club, players he coached from the juniors, untried young internationals, or who were at a low career point.
The senior players like Arteta, Mert, Cazorla, and new ambitious arrivals such as Ozil, Alexis, and Welbeck will not fancy just endless 4th place trophies and the token 8 game ECL appearances per season.
These players are more likely to stand up to him and his daft transfer policy when it comes to defenders and defensive midfielders.

Im not an akb but this is rubbish- I mean if they had dared to stand up to him then he would exert his wrath by playing them hopelessly out of position.

Oh Wait

On the bright side, Guardiola has a contract with Bayern until 2016, when he will take a year off as he did before and voila.. 2017. Let's have hope! :)

Glad to see Gary Lineker agrees it was an arrogant and patronising interview.

Obviously it's nothing new to the fans, who have seen this behaviour time and time again from Wenger, but always good to see neutrals noticing too.

The sooner the man's gone, the better.

Thank you for everything, some of the achievments will remain unsurpassed and they were great times. But you have proven yourself negligent year after year and we should and can do much, much better.

Oh, that's Wenger I'm talking about, not you g88ner.

Its probably been said many a time now over the last few years but it really does look like the only way to prematurely end this dictatorship is to miss out on the CL all together.

plenty of negative press on wenger last night actually :

(note the poll result 55% against..)

http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/foot ... 03914.html

pretty much every article says the same thing - Wenger is responsible for us being midtable.

We've seen this shit before though. We'll eventually get a run going soon that will ease the pressure on him.

One season won't shift him, the board know he has his faults and constantly flirts with finishing 5th, that's why we always keep a £50m+ cash surplus.
It needs player power to turn on him, and give him no place to hide.

How many people think that we gone backwards from last season? I am starting to think that we may have done. We just seem to be drifting and going through the motions
