That's the beginning of the end .... The question is how many can turn before Wenger sells them... And create a dressing room attitude.

Please can we get this over paid dictator out...WHAT CAN WE DO ?

(Merson's comments tonight were spot on!)

I'm a big fan of merse but at times he is a bottling gutless c.unt - when it is heat of the moment time, he is quite critical and honest in his assessment, but when he has time to think about what he says, he always dilutes what he says and is just another cowardly pr.ck who is afraid to turn on le cock  In the champions league highlights show on sky tonight, he was asked if wenker is still the right man for the job and he only went and backed wenker as the right man and said that the club just need him to spend the money  Was money the reason for that shameful performance tonight against the 4th seeded team in our group ? Was not spending money the reason why we couldn't beat hull on Saturday ?
Merse if you haven't got the guts to call it as it is then fcuk off and join the other media w>nkers who love arsene but don't give a fcuk about Arsenal

I do agree that the players don't seem to be on board with wenker anymore - no all we need is for some of them to actually show some balls and stand up to him

This is what I noticed about tonight aswell. For all the talk of tactics, the reality is, even a half decent performance from the team, would have seen us run out comfortable winners, considering how shit Anderlecht are. The players didn't look bothered, and if this continues into the league, we are heading for a 7th or 8th place finish this season at best, and hopefully the end of Wenger.

dear God, tonight the deluded one is claiming credit for the undeserved win as a "tactical gamble that paid off"

WTF seriously,

so your plan was to play turgid shite for 84 minutes and then throw two forwards on you never give a chance to ????

it beggars belief.

SACK WENGER NOW !

Gotta have respect for Wonga and his man management, after scoring last nights winner he praises Podolski by saying....

"“It took him a while to get back to a good physical level [after the World Cup] and now he is nearly there"

Make him feel good Arsene by saying it's taken him 4 months to get 'nearly' fit. Tosser! :banghead: :banghead:

augie wrote:The wenker apologists make a lot of how impossible it is to compete with the likes of citeeh and the chavs, but they never speak about the hull's, Leicester's and Anderlecht's of this world - ozil alone has probably cost more than the total cost of any one of those teams, and yet we cant beat two of them and absolutely rob the third team having been given a runaround all night
The reason we cant beat them is that he doesnt know how to set up a team or how to motivate them - a lot is rightly made of his total lack of tactical acumen, but for me it is every bit as bad that he cannot instill any passion, fire or commitment in his team. The very least we fans are entitled to expect, is to see a team bust a gut and playing with total commitment, but yet we constantly suffer lazy half arsed performances which stems from a team that has no pressure to win or perform for their money. There is no demands or instructions given to the players and when that is the case, we cant expect anything different from what we are seeing now
We should just fucking delete this thread and leave this ^^ post here by itself. Sums it all up in two paragraphs. 100% bang the fuck on. 8)

Now if augie could just learn to put a proper double space between those paragraphs... :D

Typical Arsene. It was his "tactical gamble" that won it, not Pod taking his chance by the neck and smashing it. And then when it looks like Pod might get some praise, Arsene has to chime in with this utter shit comment to put the attention back on poor Arsene and how he has so much to deal with.

I wonder when he'll blame financial doping for our ridiculous injury crisis.

Just posted on the Anderlecht thread that Arsenal's late goals this season suggest there is at least a bit of pride in the team or the player's instincts kick in and Wenger's words are forgotten as the players take it on themselves..maybe ???

Speaking to a non Arsenal supporting friend recently he made a valid point which I never thought of. When Wenger took over at Arsenal in 1996 he was 47 years old , the squad with the keeper and the back four plus Keown , Wright etc were aging and the average age of the nucleus of the squad was about 32 (at a guess) . That was a fifteen year age gap between manger and squad. Now Wenger is 65 and the average age of the team is probably in its 20s, that is a forty year age gap. Wenger is out of touch with the players on that level and is shows.

The obvious answer to that argument is Ferguson , but on two counts Ferguson is different. One he reinvented himself and his squad when necessary and secondly Ferguson was a disciplinarian . I cannot imagine Ferguson putting up with egos the way Wenger does. At Man Utd young players were not allowed to wear coloured boots until they reached a certain level or age. Small issue but in his (Ferguson) world there was no time for Billy Big Bollix attitude.

Older managers have succeeded at other clubs also but as much as the players may like Wenger do they respect/fear him ?

Didn't see the game but what was this "tactical gamble" he's so proud of? Bringing on one of our best attacking players who against all expectations scores the winner?

Aftermatch comment on Podolski were priceless... paraphrasing here but along the lines of "put him in the box and that is what you get "
So explain the left wing then Arsene.

Love Pod myself , but undervalued and badly used by le boss.

okay, PingPong just totally redeemed himself - he just called wengers transfers "fucking useless "

Said it and will say it again we need a F****** centre back with Laurent a bloody DMF and a bloody striker

— Emmanuel Frimpong.

And before u start going down on me it’s bloody true all our players are soo similar jack Ramsey arteta Chambo Sanchez Ozil all too similar

— Emmanuel Frimpong.

FFS Sanchez has had a good season but no disrespect would have been better using that to buy a centre back and a DMF bloody sick of it man

— Emmanuel Frimpong.
he may be a Dick. but he's an Arsenal fan, and on this he's right !

in tonights Standard :

http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/footbal ... 14029.html

John Cross - describing us as "hopeless" and i give him some credit for writing this :
But that result is fooling no-one, not least the Wenger Out brigade who appear to be back and in big numbers. I do actually think the result - no matter how lucky - is massive for the players and their confidence but many of the fans are not buying it.

Out in Brussels on Tuesday night, you got a sense of the unrest among the fans. There’s a section who not happy at the moment at all. They want sustained success and a return to the good old days under Wenger which doesn't look likely on current form.

In fairness and to their great credit, during the game they supported the team and Arsenal’s away fans are superb - always loud and they back the players.
it kind of destroys the AKB argument that you can't support the Team unless you support Wenger. not true.

the media are turning very slowly. :barscarf:
