Day 3 of the diluted cup weekend.

Very sad what’s happened to the FA Cup but when you only have 4 of the 16 matches kicking off at 3pm on a Saturday then is it really any wonder that interest in it is at an all time low?

Spoke to a Sheffield Wednesday fan this morning who said there were just 14,000 last night for their match v Coventry and said that the fan base had been completely turned off by not having the match on a Saturday afternoon.
It wasn’t on TV so why on earth was it played on a Friday night ??
When I was a kid, the FA Cup was more important than winning the league. Probably because it was live on TV and you saw your team lift a trophy.
It was so good to see the Arsenal reach 3 consequetive finals in the late 70s when I was 10/11 years old. Not forgetting the ECWCl final.
Now the Prem League, UEFA, FIFA are only interested in the readies :cussing:
As a kid in Australia it was the one night in the year we were allowed stay up late to watch the cup final live. When my folks moved us back to Oireland I was thrilled to be an hours flight away from Wembley. I still love the FA Cup even though modern fooble wànkers have all but killed it. :(
Even if league was going to shit, you could still hope on a "cup run".
I watched Maidstone beat Ipswich yesterday and the absolute joy of the Maidstone players and fans was like a thing from the past, great days and good luck to them.
Their now in the draw for the next round, but I have absolutely no idea when it is  and it will be drawn by woke ex foobler wanna be celebidees. c.unts
I watched Wenger win his first double in Oz when we turned over Newcastle. I'd just given up the fags (smoking type not the saggy arsed type) and couldn't fucking sit still throughout the game, like a crackhead who couldn't find his next score

Shocked but not surprised to see the great defensive hope Kyle Bartley stinking out the place for WBA on the TV.

Takes me back to those halycon days of 2009/10 CL group losses against Olympiakos

The WBA match is certainly a real throwback to the 80s but not in a good way!!

Why would a wolves fan buy a ticket in home end ? You know a real kicking is on the menu if things go wolves way

All these questions about how to bring back interest in the FA Cup could be answered by ensuring every round has a notoriously violent local derby with loads of opportunities for both sets of supporters to get rolling drunk beforehand. It's what the public want.

Watching the AFC women v Liverpool on TV. Fuck all else to do. The Scousers have definitely got a bloke playing up front. Scary.

Struggling past these pubbers with their first team and Ten Haag has now fallen out with Rashford, they lurch from crisis to crisis forever on the brink of implosion.

Warms my soul how shit they are.

It's good the way he keeps managing to get a result which staves off the sack, even though the result shows zero signs of any improvement. it needs to continue this way, so that they keep him in place as long as possible. Too many inexcusable defeats on the trot and he'll be gone. We need agent Ten Bob to stay in place. Just as all the other sides were delighted to see the Old Fraud continue with his soul destroying nothingness.

A stat popped up before kick off today that said they’ve lost 14 of the 30 games they’ve played so far this season.

Fucking hell beaten in almost 50% of their games, fucking zombies

I think the new Owner/Investor will keep him in place till the Summer; unless things really spiral out of any semblance of (semi) control, but for sure he'll be gone in the Summer and they'll bring in Zidane, or Graham Potter, Orrrr Harry Potter orrrrr ?????
