THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Wilshere is available tomorrow and no mention of a Monreal injury on Pravda. "Gnarby is closer fitness wise than Diaby he is a couple of weeks away ".... Did he have a straight face saying that ?

You look at our injuries going into the Burnley match and it's just beyond disbelief. Some people may not blame Wenger for the injuries, I personally do - firstly because he manages players wrong, secondly his training methods obviously contribute, and thirdly he's been the only constant at the club. Even if people don't think he's responsible for the injury "curse", he has completely neglected to acknowledge it and left the squad under-prepared and its weaknesses woefully exposed.
wenger is to blame 100%

Look at how many of those are persistently injured players. Walcott, Diaby, Gibbs, Wilshere - always fucking injured. Ozil and Gnabry will both have missed about half of the calendar year through injuries. Giroud and Debuchy looked like unfortunate injuries and at that stage of the season I'm not going to jump to the conclusion that fatigue played a part but still, it's the nature of the injuries as well as the number that are a cause for concern.

If I was a nurse treating a man suffering from Ebola I'd still feel safer than an Arsenal player right now

Have to admit, my fave part of the season so far has been Lord A-Hole's Anderlecht post-match interview.
You know, the one where he claims his "tactical gamble" was to tire then out in last 5 mins and then make subs. Hilarious! Must take real tactical genius for a squad as expensive as Arsenal's to scrape a last-minute win at a team that's not won 2 CL games in 10 years! LOL. Where was his tactical genius in, oh dunno, ANY of the big matches? 8mil a year for that!

You can go too far sometimes, as much as I want him to leave and have done so for a few years I have to stop and remind
myself that under Wenger I have seen the best football that I've ever seen or am ever going to see.

I just watched this and it's made my day https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6vSA40QntQI

That is heresy, after that hard fought tactical (give the ball to them) victory at Sunderland we only need to overcome the might of Burnley and we could regain our rightful 4th spot.
:barscarf: :barscarf: Theres only one Arsene Wenger :barscarf: :barscarf:
