And an assist for Bendy!!
Re: The "Nicklas Bendtner progress" thread
Watching the Danish carthorse lumbering around against the Baggies' stiffs is a sadder sight than seeing Gascoigne last night

Crystal Palace dodged a fucking massive bullet on deadline day by missing out on lard arse.
From Bergkamp, Henry, Wiltord and Kanu
to Giroud, Bendtner, Park and ? (have we even got four strikers??)

If Wiltord is classed as a striker, then why not Podolski?rodders999 wrote:Crystal Palace dodged a fucking massive bullet on deadline day by missing out on lard arse.

And if Kanu counts, why not Jenkinson

So it's Giroud, Podolski, Postman and Bender.
Not great is it.

Wiltord actually played up front though didn't he? Podolski has played most of his career with us babysitting at wing back so that Gibbs can bomb forward and fluff 10 crosses a game.g88ner wrote:If Wiltord is classed as a striker, then why not Podolski?rodders999 wrote:Crystal Palace dodged a fucking massive bullet on deadline day by missing out on lard arse.

Beautiful assist from Bendy showing his touch and vision. Pity he missed his chance but it was late on and he'd be knackered having been out of the frame for so long. Great to see him calmly dispatch his penalty though, West Brom have been destroyed by Bendy, the first of many to suffer that, when he gets fitter he'll get even better. Proud of him tonight

I suppose, but I more thought of Wiltord as a wide player like Podolski than a striker. Thought that was his best position.northbank123 wrote:Wiltord actually played up front though didn't he? But yes, Podolski didn't play up front a lot last season - thought that would change a little this season if and when Giroud was out the side, but who know's. Injury has put him out until December.

Ididn't 'see' the game against WBA last night, I listened to it on Radfio5LiveEXtra...and the Danish Buddha sounded like he had a mare (other than his assist for the 1st goal)....northbank123 wrote:http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... tball.html

He was our best attacking player by a country mile last night. Didn't help that Ryo and Gnabry gave him sweet FA in terms of service. Lovely assist and penalty though. First game back and he'll only improve. Good on him for getting out there and giving his all.

That maybe so, but he does care.
