ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

We've had all summer to sort midfield and we are making a last minute trolley dash.. best window ever my arse.

Feels like January again and look where that got us.

We've made some good signings yes but just havent done enough as it stands an average window.

Let's be honest, the only reason we're in for a CM is because of the injuries we have, they didn't want a CM!

There's still time to get someone, I think we will.
How do you do a deal and do a medical in 2 hours? Are we going to teleport someone into the training ground?

This club… this club…

So we let Auba go last season for nothing. We pay him £10m to go and then claim it was a great deal to get him off of the wage bill… Barca then sell him straight on to Chelsea and we get nowt. We then input a sell-on in to the Bellerin deal. Barca simply circumvent it by giving Bellerin a one year deal and no doubt a gentleman’s agreement to re-sign him to a new contract next summer.

We are a fucking joke.

This guy looks like he could be a good midfield enforcer. Can we sign him?

How there has been no back up plan to Luiz is mind boggling. Just throwing everything into that basket even though we have been told to fuck off by Villa all day. I shouldn't be surprised by the clubs incompetence but somehow I am.

I said here last week that I dont believe the cone boy wanted to buy a centre midfielder and I stand by that - apparently Tielemens would cost us £25m which is peanuts nowadays but we dont make a bid, but yet we do make an offer for that amount for a midfielder that isnt for sale  In my opinion nothing can be allowed to undermine the swiss c.unt in arteta's plan

History repeating itself again from 2009-12, when we had the bones of a great team but was always missing that last piece and persevering with duds like Denilson and not replacing the permacrocks in the squad!

Shame that it'll come back and bite us in the bollocks later on in the season like last seasons January window after such promising start!

Tielemens wouldn’t have been the guy to cover the 97% of the season that cornflakes knees Partey will miss though?

If a Spanish or Italian club were to come in for Partey in January I’d snap their hands off, we need to cut and run them there and fast. An absolute crock and a massively expensive one to boot.
