You call that caring? For 50 grand a week I'd have done 17 laps of the Hawthorns with my pecker hanging out as a celebration

Re: The "Nicklas Bendtner progress" thread
Any chance Bendy will get first dibs v Swansea on Saturday, and Giroud benched or getting part game in readiness for Napoli?
Just wondering if its a good time to replace Giroud with the hound of Anfield in my fantasy team(s).

There is more chance of me starting on Saturday as there is of Barry Bender.foxinthebox2001 wrote:Any chance Bendy will get first dibs v Swansea on Saturday, and Giroud benched or getting part game in readiness for Napoli?

Re: The "Nicklas Bendtner progress" thread
To say Bendy doesn't care is plain dumb, think about it,its his last season under contract with us,by june the £52k a week contract is no more,on recent form /attitude he is heading out of the EPL and maybe to the championship or an unknown side in a lesser country to earn maybe £5k a week, hes in last chance saloon,he must impress this year otherwise the dream is over for him and he will live to regret turning down a host of clubs who wanted his signature in seasons past.hes gonna have to play his heart out just to stand still now otherwise its off to the knackers yard to think about what should and could have been.wether he plays his heart out for us or just himself I think you may see a different Bendy given the chance

Re: The "Nicklas Bendtner progress" thread
I think Bendtner has always tried his best tbh. Sometimes his style makes him look a bit "lazy" but I don't think he is, always gives his all when I've seen him. I was glad he got his chance and, considering there seemed to be very little support, he did about as well as you could hope for someone who hasn't played in ages. I honestly think that, from the bench, he'll go on to be a useful player for Arsenal this season, he's definitely a cut above a lot of attacking players in this league, only thing is he really needs to be playing off the main striker, I'm not convinced with him as a lone striker. If you can use him properly he'll get you points. Might even earn himself a new contract
I'll be watching his re-emergence at the Emirates with great interest, fucking love the bloke.

I can only hope that last night's fleeting glimpse will all we'll be seeing for some time and that in January someone finally decides he's worth £50k per week. Sadly they won't and we'll be left with him running down his deal till the end of the season

He can also play a nice pass from midfield i.e. Eisfeld's goal v WBA.
He can head it.
He can cross.
But it is what he lacks that makes him so frustrating -
He lacks pace.
He lacks consistency of touch.
He lacks consistency of shooting.
But with Giroud being worked into the ground, Bendtner will get his chance.
Re: The "Nicklas Bendtner progress" thread
Indeed. As much as we should have strengthened and signed a striker in the last transfer window we are better off this season than we were last imo.
Think bendy is a better back-up than chamack, coupled with fact that Giroud seems to have settled and is performing better this season.
