THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I tweeted her, she was at some shit fa cup tie, I would bet this forum would easily have raised her cab fare to Swansea.
Why again did not one interviewer ask him these 2 simple questions.
Did you think Chambers had a poor game against Montero, and struggled the whole match to stop his threat?
Why was nothing changed? either by substitutions, you had Bellerin on the bench, or by tactics, such as dropping OAC back.

Thought it would be a good time to post some of my favourite Arseneballs comments

http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archiv ... overplayed

"Yes [captaincy] is overplayed, without a doubt,"

http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/story/104423.html

"We want to add not quality, but super quality," [that would explain the acquisitions shortly afterwards of Arteta, Santos, Park, Mertesacker and Benayoun on loan]

http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/footba ... n-Utd-move

Wenger said: "I cannot guarantee he will stay, but should he go I would bring another centre-back in for sure." [then went and sold Miquel within a day having already let Jenkinson go on loan for a season]

A few years ago Djourou was on a yellow against Fulham. In the post match interview the manager of the decade said he could see Fulham were "targeting him to get him sent off". But he did nothing about it, Djourou did get sent off and we got beat 2-1 having been 1 up - Happy New Year.

Today Chambers got targeted time and time again but he does nada again but hey I haven't worked in football for 32 years

Oliver holt (who is one of the few journalists who I think is any good) has just tweeted

"Huge fan of Wenger but even I am beginning to wonder of I admire him for what he once achieved and not what he might yet achieve"

I think the tipping point is very close to being achieved and if it wasn't for the fact that Spurs, United, Liverpool are also so shit this season then it would be open season against Wenger

It's a pity it's international week because otherwise we would be in the news all week leading up to the United game.

At least I get to watch a team who know they're shit (Wales) with a manager who knows he's a donkey (Coleman). And we actually win sometimes too

Wenger - "I think it's difficult to explain how we lost the lead as we were in control and they didn't give up".
I agree, there was no indication the threat was coming down Chambers side of the pitch, and who would have guessed Monreal would be beaten in the air?

Times like this I'm glad I work in an office full of women. Nothing worse than going into work on a Monday after shit like this and listening to halfwits voicing their clueless opinions.

before the game wenger pointed out that "why should we concentrate more on defending when we are winning" ? and then sent out the same team that collapsed mid-week to prove a point....

well that backfired didnt it ?

the only point was proved that wenger is incapable of self examination or learning or movimng forwards.

a former hero, he is now a cancer in our club.

Even the board must have had enough of him. He can't last much longer.
Sadly doesn't bother me at much when we lose like this. Got used to it now and expectations are low.

I think this week has been the tipping point for most people. The biggest pro Wenger window licker I know has just sent me a text saying that it is time for a change of manager.

The times they are a changing :barscarf:

Stev0 - please explain, I must admit I'm intrigued!
Its my own form of payback for every dopey c u n t who has sung that fucking song since 2008 when it had already become apparent to anyone who HADN'T worked in football for a single minute that his sorry little project was going nowhere

I hope every prick that has sung it feels pain like a knife through the guts tonight. I'm long since over it - long since he whored himself out to the wig wearing c u n t who is slowly destroying our club. Still - best ask The Cook on that one as we wouldn't Jabba coming in and investing in the club would we ?
Stev0 - you have my utmost respect & sincere apologies!

I did sense some irony in your posts but I bit
So fair play son! Fair play ✋
Also, le cock will be on French TV ( like all fucking summer)!! & recent internationals getting extra money!!
You never see the other so called 'too managers' moonlighting! To be fair they are probably concentrating on their main priorities
Like sorting their own clubs out!!
Actually no he won't be on French tv. They realised he's a clueless tactical fuckwit and sacked him.
Shame out board of retards can't do the same. Remember what Sir Tits said "if he doesn't have a plan we keep quiet"
HILARIOUS

The next 2 home games are crucial. United & Saints.
I think we are a match for both, but for Wenger for and his outdated, stale tactics, and lack of knowledge of how to get his players defending a lead. Even a 3 goal lead.
Lose both of these and the pressure on him will be immense, whatever happens at West Brom
