As for the board pretending to stand up to anyone, give over Quartz. I'm sure that the practicalities of 'standing up' to a majority shareholder like Kroenke are somewhat difficult in a huge plc but ultimately he couldn't have paid himself £3m in consultancy fees without board approval. I'd have a bit of respect for one of those dinosaurs if they took a stand against him even if it meant dragging the club through the mud in the press. Instead all they do is sit around, counting their money and waiting to die.

Some of the board did stand up to Kroenke last spring, and if it was not for that then we would all be paying more for our tickets.

And some of the board have been eating into Wenger's power since 2011, and that odd supermarket sweep of a summer transfer window.

The turning point was the loss to Birmingham in the League cup Final.

Prior to that Wenger was a semi-deity in the club, since then his power base has gradually begun to weaken.

I have to agree, coming on here is like therapy for all us who have sense to see Wenger should fuck off, but the majority don't see the problem. Infact, there is a section of our fan-base who go to games, and barely cheer(even if we score) and will look funny at anyone showing a bit of passion. This reserved type of supporter doesn't want any change at the club, and are happy just going to games, no matter how bad things get.

i know its the hope that kills you, but January is a LONG way away - Dortmund, United, Southampton, Newcastle at home and Stoke away are all potential fuck ups. given the first 11 games, i'll be amazed if we are above 9th after that little run.

i know its the hope that kills you, but January is a LONG way away - Dortmund, United, Southampton, Newcastle at home and Stoke away are all potential fuck ups. given the first 11 games, i'll be amazed if we are above 9th after that little run.

I know mate, but historical evidence says we will get 4th - again - as it's what Wanger does, and then it'll be "judge him in May/Sep/Jan....etc."

I have always thought that Wenger's constant mis-management was like a house of cards, and no top four will knock it over. Every year he has failed to buy the players, in positions that we are clearly lacking, but somehow we have managed to scrape top four, but you can be guaranteed the minute we dont finish 4th, silent Stan wont be putting his hand into his deep pockets for transfer funds, as he wont be making a return on his investement, and we will slide down the table, and by the time Wenger leaves, we will be 7th or 8th at best.

I've not got the time or the inclination to look at other AFC forums, I waste enough of my life on this one, but I'm interested to know if there are any fans offering logical arguments for AW to stay.

One trophy in ten years, not the slightest evidence that we could challenge for the league etc etc etc. I'm usually a good Devil's Advocate, but I can't think of any reason to keep him here another week.

On 5Live - after the Swansea debacle yesterday - Wrighty said that he knows for a fact that Bouldy put forward a list of defenders names that he recommended to Wenker to be bought in the summer transfer window...and Wenger ignored him.

He does not allow any outside interference whatsoever - THAT is the same attitude and actions of a Dictator.

I totally have given up on the *word censored* - I really hoped he would step down with some dignity still inatct after the (lucky) FA Cup Final Win - But no he saw it as another get out of gaol card - How long before he leads us into total indignity - I mean it is already embarrassing enough to have to endure his tacticless approach to games - and how he has made our once great defence 'Spineless and Clueless".

He eventually will go - God knows when - But when he does - there needs to be a period of transition - where all the wrongs he has cemented into the club and team will need to be put right - and That is one tall order - talk about year zero - he has not only let all the good he achieved slide into mockery, but he has taken us lower in terms of "Class" and "Respect" than I can remember.....

Even those fans who were not Arsenal supporters used to recognise and admire our Standards of "Class"

even in 2011, that terrible start to the season, the year of the 2-8 we had 19 points by this stage compared with the 17 we have now.

this could have been the season that we built on an FA Cup win....it is appalling what is happening at the club.

I have got tickets for one more match this season (the upcoming defeat we will receive v Southampton). I will boo the down the tunnel and then I am not going again this season - total waste of money paying to see these pampered, over paid individuals run around a patch of grass in north london any longer.

the only way I will go near the Emirates will be if there are any mass protests, other than forget it
