By the way, as i said many pages back, it wouldnt surprise me at all if you sign Craig Gordon, meant to be quite close to agreeing a move apparently
If you're happy signing man U rejects  stops Wenger doing it so good news all round
I'm very happy thank you, thats John O'Shea confirmed for us as well- one with over 230 league games for man united, another with over 250, both with league and champions league winners medals- suits me quite nicely
I think it's an excellent bit of business... I reckon both of them would of been a good addition to our squad...i'm not so sure any of our cb's are better than either of them, and of course they have Fergies winning mentality bred in to them which we could certainly do with a touch of...
Like Silvestre's winning mentality? I know they're both better players than he was but that signing has still scarred me. Maybe the Man U tag makes them sound better than they are, I've never been that impressed with either. I think they're good signings for Sunderland but not a team who should be challenging for the title :banghead:

According to the Mirror negotiations for Mata are going well, we won't be getting him then

Were Maxwell or Abidal Arsenal targets before being mentioned as part of a deal for Cesc? Have Maxwell and Abidal expressed a desire to play for Arsenal?

If the answer to either question is no, then it's a bad proposal.

I am just sooooo FED UP TO THE TEETH with all this shyte...all I hear is that we have 'shown an interest' in players etc.....

Wenger somehow doesn't strike me as being someone very well equipped to haggle and deal and do business quickly and efficiently .......he's too money conscious (some might say Tight) we've lost out on players before all for the sake of what in transfer terms are piddling amounts of money......Why don't the club just hire Dein on a temporary basis (transfer consultant or whatever) to conduct the deals...Wenger just tells the board what players we want/need and Dein does the business - which is what used to happen......it would save all this bollockache and frustration we are all feeling....

FFS!!!!!! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Agreed - btw NO! they were Not transfer targets before barcawhores put them in the frame...so it's a bit like us trying to buy Baines or whomever and offering the likes of denilshyte and bendy bollocks as part of the deal....

Seems like a good offer to make to Everton see what they say.

Read to day that Southampton "laughed" at our £6m bid for Oxlade Chamberlain. Who the fuck are Southampton to laugh at our bid? and why the hell are we being made a joke of when it comes to transfers?

WENGER stop pissing about, get the players you want in. Do it with minimum of fuss, and maximum effect. Utd, City, Barca, Real Madrid, Inter do not piss about, we are just as rich as they are yet we scrapping about. Sunderland have shown their intentions in the transfer market and will probably finish above next season.

We are becoming a joke.
I knew it was around the double figures but it was a case of reaching an agreement. (£10M-£15M)

People were up in arms when they heard we bid 12million for him. Now we have supposedly bid 6m ( which probably what he is worth) people are saying we should be "sorting" this out.

It's getting to the stage where I think other clubs won't even want to do business with Arsenal, as we will be seen as nothing more than timewasters.
We have already lost out on Alvarez due to our constant haggling, and had the january transfer window not have been closing that day, I suspect the Arsahvin deal would have fallen through.
It makes me wonder is Wenger deliberately under bidding on players in the hope that deals will collapse, but leaving him being perceived to be trying to sign players.

Why should we pay 10-15m for an unproven talent from the championship?

Because if he's worth it then that's what you pay, not half the price.
