Re: Wenger Out protest - Sunday 2nd April 14:30 Man City (H)
Mate Ive asked this before.....
Is the billboard you priced not a digital one where you just email them a file of what you want on it and they put it on a slideshow that contonues on a loop all day?
In that case use all those pics I put up

Personally I like the wenker quote from a few years ago where he said that if we don't win the league within two years he would be accountable
I also think that the gazidas quote is an absolute must
Then maybe a list of the capitulations (inc shorelines) against the other top teams in recent years

What was the Gazidis quote?

It's listed a load of times on previous pages, where it refers to the unsustainable situation if the relationship between a manager and fans breaks down

Xistential - it must be getting frustrating trying to sort this, with a mass of ideas flying about. I'm probably not going to help here, because I agree with DB10, the "in Wenger we rust" line, while not cryptic, does need some thinking about and may be misread as DB says.
In my opinion, keep this very simple and on message. On the back either "no new contract" or "Wenger out" and I'd have both sides with the same message.....gazidis's quote and then "no new contract" or "Wenger out" , whichever one isn't on the back. All nice and simple.
What's the story re armchair's digital, scrolling message idea? Is it possible? If so, I wouldn't add too much to the above, just the really damning stats, like the 7 year CL exits, our lady few years in head to head against the top 6, his quote that if we hadn't won the league, he would have failed. He's got enough form for us to fill an encyclopaedia, but we need only 3 or 4 of the easily understandable, damning stats and quotes.

I will have a mock up of the one side this afternoon. In Wenger we rust is on the back. The other side needs to be filled with a list of his BS quotes from down the years with a huge heading..A DECADE of SPIN . I will put the mock up up as soon as I get it...and if necessary we can tweek it.Retro Gunner wrote:Clash wrote:Could it be done with a big red X crossing out the T of Trust ... or is it just better without the T ?DB10GOONER wrote:Lads, just in relation to "In Wenger We Rust" on a mobile billboard. My nephew is staying with me for the week & he is a graphic designer...he will be able to do just about anything with pics...change clock hands, etc,eyc....
AND the billboard picture is fixed,it is not on a loop.

Okay Fellow Gooners!
It looks as if some of those on here are doing amazing work, but may well becoming weighed down a bit too much.
Might I suggest that when an idea is put forward - the rest of us have 24hours to make any comments, further suggestions and then that Trio make the decision based on those suggestions, recommendations etc.
My work hours are all over the place at the moment and so I cannot guarantee I can come on here every day. But I would happily place my trust in three of us who have the agreed say so to go ahead especially if a quick decision needs to be made, otherwise we could end up going round and round in circles:
It is obvious that some are for certain ideas and some against certain ideas, because of the perceived lack of time - we do need to get as many things done to publicise our cause and so increase the level of awareness publicly and so help increase pressure...We need to so that should there be any doubts over wenger signing another contract that we put the spotlight on those doubts
So: for me
The Plane - A Good Idea - that may not happen due to weather conditions
The Mobile Lorry/truck - For me an Excellent idea as it will be seen at close hand by plenty of Gooners and hopefully also the staff going into and out of The Bowl, I would include board/players and MANAGER in That.
The wenger lookalike - again still a valid idea - But, if we do go ahead with it - then it needs to be done in a way that looks 'professional.
The Ballons / beach Balls still have relevance - because they will keep Our Cause in the public eye...in many ways we simply need to keep it in the public eye as much as possible for as long as possible - at least till we know the outcome of of whether the *word censored* signs or not...If he does, then we change strategies and get "Serious" as in the gloves are Off!
I know there are all kinds of ideas being put forward which is great - better to have too many than not enough, so everyone DO keep your thinking caps on and keep making suggestions, But Please don't get annoyed if an idea is not taken up....this is a time for Gooner unity and not ego's.

Can't do that mate - Bouldy's not allowed to speak or move. They'd know it wasn't him.VoiceOfReason wrote:Can we also have a Steve Bould impersonator attempting to do up "Arsene's" jacket for the duration of the march?

xissential I know this is doing your head in but dont you think a digital version would be much better. You could have everyting on it.
Quotes, pics anything all on a loop
Im sure your nephew could email them a digital file with it all on it
Like I said it was coming in at 750 + vat last season.
Just before you pull the trigger do you think its an idea to look at that option.
It would be a massive statement. And again, in-case you missed my post......there was one at the bear roundabout opposite the steps on Saturday at kick-off time

Surely this is a MUST - It not only shows that there are definite divisions within the club, but it also highlights the poor record of wenger and how he has been so dismissive of the fans.

Those first few words are the money shot, in my opinion, and I would personally restrict the front of the billboard to
"Arsene is accountable to the fans - they ultimately make judgement"
Ivan Gazidis, Arsenal Chief Executive, 2011
WENGER OUT
Re: Wenger Out protest - Sunday 2nd April 14:30 Man City (H)
One from Saturday
