First game back properly for a year - what was Podolski's excuse?

Never mind Diaby we should be opening up a Yaya Sanogo injuries thread .l
Having spent more than half of last season injured, his first in his lucrative 30,000 a week 4 year contract he came back to lead the line very effectively towards the end of the season .
he had a
Having started so brightly in the emirates cup , asmall hamstring problem occurred in the middle of August and the lad hasn't been heard of since.
With the medical teamsd long experience in these matters we could expect him back sometime in 2016 .
Ou est Yaya !

Not absolving anyone for last night defeat, but Diaby has more than anyone a reason to impress. He needs to show he is worth the belief the club has shown him.
I spent most of the game trying to see that invisble piano he appeared to be dragging around with him.
Far too many sideways or back passes, no drive, just a player marking time.
I was probably foolish to think he would be keen to put on a good show, be positive and eager to get stuck in again in his comeback game, his fourth comeback game at least.
Ludicrous that he was once compared to PV4.

Never really understood the PV4 comparison; they are both tall, black, and french, but that is where it ends. At best Diaby is a fairly skillful box to box midfielder and occasional DM/AM with all the fortitude of a French soldier.

Le Arseholes tactics - cough cough - Ooops! I mean Lack of Tactics and how to get a team to play together to nullify the opposition.
