It's a massive price tag for him. I can't help wondering if Arsenal are seriously worried that Saka won't sign a new contract so want Mudryk as a direct replacement?
That’s a worrying thought Tee Cee, let’s hope that is not the case

Still no agreement between clubs when it comes to Mudryk, but talks are at least moving. Negotiations now focused on the final make up of the deal (add-ons, etc) rather than up front fee.

No Whaaaaay Jose!

The only way ESR doesn't get regular 1st Team Play time is if he is injured.

I read that Saka and Martinelli have played in every league match this season , that's why Mudryk is targetted .
We still need a midfielder as well though.

If Martinez-Lite (now possibly a couple days away from being called "Arteta" ) has even half a brain he'll retain Saka and ESR along with adding Mudryk. Not sure why anyone would think otherwise tbh. We need a squad not a team.

Any club / manager / owner looking to be successful, ie: Win Trophies and worth their salt these days knows it takes high quality squad of 22 - 26 players, so that when injuries or a drop in form happens; and they can replace like for like. Yes there always be those "special" players who are head and shoulders above the rest of the team, perhaps even the league but it is essential to have an inter-changeable squad of players.

Talking of which, Source BBC:

Arsenal are back in for Juventus and Serbia striker Dusan Vlahovic, 22, who is valued at 110m euros (£97.7m) (La Repubblica - in Italian)

The Gunners have submitted a new bid for Shakhtar Donetsk's Ukrainian winger Mykhaylo Mudryk, 22, with a deal moving closer. (Fabrizio Romano)

Is there anything more irritating in football than ITK accounts on social media. The about of bollox about Mudryk are beyond belief. I keep seeing "close to a deal" or talks are progressing". Basically they know fuck all but will talk crap until a deal is done.

Where does he play? You don’t spend £80m for a bench player (unless they turn out to be as crap as Pepe!). Saka is a guaranteed starter, so is Martinelli, as is Odegaard. ESR won’t want to warm the bench at his age, but he won’t get in the first team regularly, so what makes the most sense?

Don’t get me wrong, ESR is my fave player in the current squad but I don’t see how he gets a regular game if Mudryk signs

We rotate. Simply don't get the small time mindset from our fan base now.invicibles time we had nearly 2 top players for each position. If we are to improve we need to do same. 80m is going rate for top young talent such is the screwed up market. Its shouldnt mean any of our regulars are leaving etc it's depth. Alleged top quality depth...how good he is remains to be seen.

Mudryk very close to be confirmed now. This reminds me of when we signed Bergkamp/Henry, absolutely buzzing.

Arsenal getting back to the big time in the transfer market. This boy is mustard.

Yep Edu flown out to Poland to meet Shakthar representatives, unveiling of Mudruk transfer for the manure game would be epic.

Mudryk plays on the flanks; left and / or right (he is right footed) ESR plays through the middle or on the left.

Ear is also one of my favourite players and (for me) is a HUGE Talent, but as PM says it'll all be about Rotation; if we are to continue progressing then as someone else rightly said we need a Squad not a team... simples.
