Either he and the club have worked the greatest con ever by making it publicly known how much he wanted to join us, all in the hope of someone else coming in to drive up the asking price or he was eager to join but he has been told that he has to accept its Chelsea or nowhere. I said it early on in this window, but as soon as this became a case that we weren't meeting the asking price then we should have moved on to other targets, we have again shit the bed in a transfer negotiations and in a season when we have a great chance to win the league, it's beyond incompetence and more negligence.

I saw this coming a while ago. Chelsea have cleared their debts via the Boehly sale so they have £400m burning a hole in their pockets. Shakhtar have played us like a a fiddle and the Chavs have outbid us by €5m. If we match Chelsea they will just up the bid. It’s pointless. Shakhtar have told Mudryk he can go but only to who they sell to. We’ve wasted time and effort and I will bet money we sign no one in this window.
