ROMA THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

When Roma put us out in the second leg we will have no-one to blame but ourselves. Roma were worse tonight than the night the mancs put 7 past them. The difference??? They are not completely and fucking inept, toothless, spineless, embarrasing and complete SHIT in front of goal.

Have to agree with my 2 comrades about the negative impact the introduction of song had on our tactics :( Did you see the *word censored*'s "shot on goal" ?   Give ramsey his due when he came into the game he showed energy and enthusiasm and wanted to take the game to them :barscarf:

There is no doubt that bedtner has not got the quality required to play for this club. I know I am repeating myself here but he was nothing short of woeful again tonight. Everytime wenger plays him he is handicapping the team and stunting the potential progress of vela who is not and will not improve with these 15 minute cameo's that wenger is giving him

If I'd been offered 1-0 at the start I'd have bitten your arm off. Yes we missed chances but crucially we didn't let in any stupid goals and to be fair looked very solid at the back. Missing the likes of Eddie, Rosicky, Theo, Cesc and Adebayor, any sort of win against top class european opposition has to be positive. If we can sneak through in the second leg then hopefully by the next round we'll have some more firepower back.

Overall happy enough 8)

I'd rather not be spoiled by Bendtner, Song and Eboue thank you very much.

We are easily a better side than Roma as proved tonight
We missed a load of chances but we still have the quality over them.
