So what you're saying is that football is purely a mans domain and make up is purely a womans domain? That on a football site it will be the men that have a far greater understanding of football? I did say i couldn't think of a way of putting it without sounding like a chauvinist...I'm not talking about knowing the offside rule or knowing the players, i'm talking about a far more in depth understanding and insight than that, and i'm sure your aware there are plenty of guys who are into football that don't have it never mind the far fewer women, it's wasn't an unreasonable assumption to make...
If this was a forum about make-up and i had an particularly in depth knowledge of it as some guys do, i think it would be quite natural that you assumed i was a women... don't you think
How tall are you?

On the whole yes...just like on a make-up forum it would be the opposite... for the same reasons...ds wrote:Bergkamp-Genius wrote:I new it was a can of wormsds wrote:Can someone tell me why some men feel the need to question a bird on the offside rule once she says she likes football? My daughter LOVES that explanation of the offside rule. She can recite it off by heart.rodders999 wrote:Never fear ladies......here's the offside rule all nicely explained for ya![]()
You're in a shoe shop, second in the queue for the till. Behind the shop assistant on the till is a pair of shoes which you have seen and which you must have.
The 'opposing' female shopper in front of you has seen them also and is eyeing them with desire.
Both of you have forgotten your purses.
It would be totally rude to push in front of the first woman if you had no money to pay for the shoes.
The shop assistant remains at the till waiting.
Your friend is trying on another pair of shoes at the back of the shop and sees your dilemma.
She prepares to throw her purse to you.
If she does so, you can catch the purse, then walk round the other shopper and buy the shoes.
At a pinch she could throw the purse ahead of the other shopper and, *whilst it is in flight* you could nip around the other shopper,
catch the purse and buy the shoes.
Always remembering that until the purse had *actually been thrown* it would be plain wrong to be forward of the other shopper.
Thank me later girls....

I've taken women to games...they didn't really understand the game..as some guys that go don't... watching football and having an in depth understanding of it are not the same thing....i've been to the ballet but i'm no expert on it.ds wrote:Oh please. Fuck me, you've got to be a wind-up. If you are fair play to you cos I bit. I don't see what your disagreeing with...if there is a 1000 x more guys interested in football, which there probably is, then percentages say there is going to be a 1000x more guys that have a deeper in depth understanding of it, so women with a deeper understanding of the game are going to be far thinner on the ground, so it's only natural to be surprised when finding one, since on average there are relatively few of them.

What colour were the shoes?

Is it any wonder some women feel intimidated at football/talking about football with that kind of archaic attitude by some men?DB10GOONER wrote:You just keep on digging there, BG!! It's like watching a car crash in super HD slow motion!!Bergkamp-Genius wrote:![]()

I did say some men, I am obviously extremly lucky in my choice of mates who never question my knowledge of football purely cos I am a woman. Likewise I find it embarassing if guys extol my knowledge or passion because that is imo another way of saying what the dinosaur bg has been posting.
Please can we stop with the man/woman football knowledge stuff, we are all Arsenal and thats enough for me. No one has ever drawn a line between us before. Would it not have been sufficient to say bt is very clever and has inspired posts about football and not point out the difference in gender? I have seriously never felt offended until now on this forum. On here, and strangely enough on .com, it has never been mooted before that women/men have different levels of interest/knowledge, surely its enough that we all post on here and all have Arsenal in our veins. This is a sad day for me on here.
