As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Well that thread has damaged my "deluded Spuds" world view. Quite sensible views to be honest.
In fact I'd say they are a little harsh on themselves. If they could get a CL spot, they could build on the moeny and player pulling power that would provide. Get a CL place for a couple of seasons and they could be taking a serious stab at the title.
What they need to do is stick with the right manager. Not sure if 'Arry can do it for them, and they'll have to have a very friendly bank manager if they want to build a new stadium and compete at the highest level. I just don't think Spurs as an organisation have the discipline to do it.
If you look at Chelsea, they actually were pushing forward with Guillit and Viali as managers, getting some good players in, winning cups, and qualifying for the CL. But they got themselves into some almighty financial shit that Roman saved them from. They might have got close to a title without Abramovich but would probably have dropped like stone like Leeds on the back of a financial meltdown.

I think this would be a better option, although im not tubing it im just gonna jump on the 259, is seven sisters road quite congested around 2 hours to kick off?
Careful going to the Pins tomorrow the police escorted everyone from the pins last year and they missed the kick off. Think about it if youre going from there

In fairness its little surprise that they are being so modest 2 days after crashing out of the cup to a bankrupt championship side. You would only get a couple of yes votes on this place if you asked it after a defeat.

Damn it, so what you reckon for an alternative? Bank of friendship?
Arsenal Tavern could probably be done too but have never been there before.

I'm avoiding the pins just because of that escort...
Will decide tomorrow if I go but really not to over-awed with that idea...
Probably drink with friends in a spurs pub and keep our heads down (one of the quieter ones) or drink from a corner shop like scumm or we can just not drink at all

"Take away Arsenal's 13 League Championships, which they "earned" by bribing their way into the Top Flight back in 1919 after they finished 6th in Division Two before WWI and the Major Trophy count is slightly in Spurs' favour at 17 to Tottenham v 13 to the Squatters.'- http://www.glory-glory.co.uk/forums/thread/875872.aspx
