Rooney's Off!! Erm.... apparently No he isn't now.

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

The media (in particular the BBC's) complete inability to run any football article at the moment without bringing this story up yet again is starting to f*ck me off a bit.

AW may sign midgets, but not fat, ginger, fag-smoking, beer-swilling, STD spreading, tyre-swinging, shape-sorting, hard-of-thinking, illiterate ones :roll: And did I say 'greedy' :banghead:

If Wenger pulled off signing Rooney in January, I think I would forgive him for the last 5 years straight away then laud it for eternity about him leaving the Mancs for us over half of Ireland (ie the plastic Mancs).
Probably squeeze in something about Irish heritage as well. :-P

I know this makes me as bad and a pathetic wanker, but I would rather sign Rooney than win the league Cup, which is quite pathetic but true.... :oops:

What a horrible spoilt little child. Won just about everything that he game has to offer at United and then the first season after not winning the League or CL decides that he wants out. Pathetic, greedy, childish......and most certainly not welcome here

Good post. Grannyraper epitomises everything I have come to detest about modern footballers;

Mercenary, stupid, no loyalty, arrogant, self centered, spoilt, ignorant, ungrateful and overpaid. Wankers. :evil:

Wouldn't be surprised if he didn't play for United for a while. He's made his bed, now he should go and lie in it :wink:

What did his T-shirt say?? "Once a Blue, always a Blue". Shouldn't that have said "Once a c**t always a c**t" ????

Rooney is a great player but like so many before him, he is starting to believe that he is bigger than his club. Why do so many talented footballers turn into dickheads once they become successful??

I think the stupid comment is the prime one more than anything.
He is in a group of players led by agents because they are too thick to think for themselves.
When Rooney won his court case earlier this year, his comment went along the lines of, "My agent has made me very rich and I am grateful for everything he has done"

This is the crux of the issue. Doesn't he realise that it is him who has made his agent rich?
His agent has only done what everyone is capable of doing themselves if they are a world class footballer, except they charge stupid amounts of money to do it.

Agents are advising their clients, not on what is best for the player, but what is best for them. Continually renegotiating contracts, hawking their clients around for every last penny. It was disappointing the UEFA/FIFA dropped their regulation of agents, because this, in my opinion, is what is necessary.
