No this is not a Hypocritical xenophobia forum, it's just a forum. WHy do you care so much about some member who you think is Racist and who probably lives miles away from you?USMartin wrote:No one here owes me or as far as I am concerned America a damned thing - just save the hypocritical xenophobia for a hypocritical xenophobia forum.
As for the history of course the Soviet Union helped save Europe from Nazism. America alone could not have defeated both Germany and Japan. If we were protected on either side by thousands of miles of oceans we might not have lasted to 1943 ourselves. Russia and England helped saved the world then too as did many other nations or future nations or now forgotten antions

Imminent massive news on arsenal fc
I'm all for Americans to enjoy football! In fact I wish americans took more interest in football, as the nation has many great athletes. If some american kids could be more brainwashed in "soccer" I'm sure U.S.A could provide great footballers. Unfortunately, despite the women, men in the U.S.A rather stick with american Football, Basket-Ball, Baseball. Correct me if I'm wrong?USMartin wrote:That's just it - no one was fighting World War two...my point was you didn't have a problem with us turning up then then...or ever since to keep the Russians at bay...don't complain about us enjoying football.FrenchGun wrote:As I said this is your fight and I'm not getting into it. I just felt the need to correct this particular piece of your argument as I was a bit shocked by some of your comments and the way you brought them up.
We all have our ego, and I can totally understand that some of us have arguments, but I'm not sure bringing WW2 in an argument on Arsenal team news is really necessary.
Even if I felt the way he does I wouldn't judge someone solely that way (I hope - if I thought like he did maybe I would). I don't automatically discrediti someone because where they come from or what their nationality is is all.FrenchGun wrote:No this is not a Hypocritical xenophobia forum, it's just a forum. No that's pretty bang-on. I would say that had we done bettter at the World Cup it would make a difference except that there is something in the DNA of a large number of Americans that associates soccer or football was being purely foreign alien and inferior. It is changing but painfully slowly really as the media which basically decide what sports will matter still have this thinking running through it.FrenchGun wrote:I'm all for Americans to enjoy football! American Women look wiser than their men as they've already understood how noble and superior football really is and have already build a WC winning squad!USMartin wrote:No that's pretty bang-on. Actually we're catching up. MLS is really looking a like it will last thrioguh the long haul unlike the NASL of the 70s - we've got csoccer specific stadiums as they are called that look like real football grounds and set up to make football more viable here, we've gotten rid of all the gimmicks - the shootouts or showdowns, the timeouts and unlimited subs and now we play football just like everyone else and even have learn to love - okay like - a 0-0 draw (but just like you we can even tell the difference between a good 0-0 and a dreadful 0-0 ).FrenchGun wrote:American Women look wiser than their men as they've already understood how noble and superior football really is and have already build a WC winning squad!USMartin wrote:No that's pretty bang-on. Hell we are eaven tyakking about moving the MLS season to the same summer to spring schedule as moost European Leagues though I'm not sure that might be a good idea justt eyt.
Soccer in the U.S. just aren't going to turn that corner and overtake one or more of the other major league sports for a while yet if ever. But it has come a long way and is is doing really okay if not really well now.

The Eight years of the Bush Administration as a whole are a disgrace to this nation, and I thank God even now that they are over a and we are still here. Worst President and Presidency in my lifetime and probably anylifetime. Guantanamo bay is not only a disgrace but in mind does the oppostie of what its intended to do. Everything we have done sice September 11 had backfired really because the American Military Industrial Complex saw the opportunity that day provided and ran with it, and turned the muslim world into the modern day red menace.flash gunner wrote:This thread - oh dear![]()

This thread has turned way beyond the point of absolute bullshit and I have to say that although we blame usmartin for a long of things on here I personally wouldnt blame him for the fiasco that this turned into (at least I wouldnt blame him exclusively). What difference should it make where the game comes from ? Making comments alluding to the fact that he should be supporting some yank team and not Arsenal is bullshit and if this theory followed through then nobody outside n5 should support The Arsenal (and I inc other parts of london in that statement too). That being said dragging world wars into what was a football conversaition relating to our club is ridiculous and that falls entirely on your shoulders martin
