Fabrice Muamba

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Big shame Muamba can't return to football. really nice guy and has kept a positive attitude throughout. His plight throws the money grabbing mercenaries and their contract disputes into insignificance.

Good luck in your future endeavours

Awful news, but if you gave me the choice between a professional football career or life, I'd take the latter. It's great that he's alive, walking, breathing, and healthy; he can use his gift of life to make a big impact in the lives of many people. I wish him nothing but the best and I do offer my sympathies that he won't be able to play professional 'ball again.

I understand he's a boyhood Arsenal fan, and having been a Gunner for half a decade (if I recall correctly) I hope that all Arsenal fans offer him a thought today.

Very sad to see someone's dream ended in their early 20's.

Positives are that he is alive, and that he did get to live the dream for a short time.

Should think that whilst he is not rolling in cash, he will be financially secure enough to put himself through retraining for a new career.
