It's a sad day when people are concerned that we cannot beat Norwich and WBA to get Champions league. Relax - we are The Aresenal and we should be expecting to beat them.
If we don't then the Board, manager & players deserve the flak that will come with it

If/when he starts just refer him to the statistical FACT above. He couldnt have made pre season predictions when he wasnt a member pre seasonmcdowell42 wrote:flash gunner wrote:Baba youre so clever in hindsight. Its always makes me laugh how Babatunde told us how shit Gervinho was before he signed for us and made pre season predictions
Gervinho signed on : 18th July 2011
Season started on : 13th August 2011
Babatunde joined the forum on : 18th August 2011

Pre season my arse
You shouldnt let the FACTS get in the way flash.I pointed out to him that he hadnt made a pre season prediction but hes chose to ignore that.He only started mouthing off about spurs when we were going thru a bad patch, when they hit a bad patch recently he chose to ignore that but now that they are 1 pt behind he wants to talk about it again
No doubt we can stand by for the usual insults and abuse the next time hes on line.I read/heard somewhere if you have to resort to insults/abuse/name calling when having an arguement/disagreement well then you have already lost the arguement.

Re: Midweek games
Flash i bet theres more wonderful posts about what he predicted PRE SEASON

Re: Midweek games
Its sad indeed. However, I expected us to beat Wigan and Wolves at home. I expected us to beat Blackburn away when Kean couldn't buy a point and we shipped 4 goals to them. I expected us to beat Bolton and QPR away.Goose wrote:Gunnerz4life wrote:Really concerned now that both our remaining games are a must win. That is my point. This Arsenal side can not be relied upon to beat anyone these days. The season should have been put to bed with victory at home to Wigan. Instead we have reverted to serving up the sort of dross that we did around the turn of the year and in January when we struggled to beat anyone. I honestly feel like watching the team for these past 3 games has been as mind numbing as the 1-1 with Wolves, 1-2 to Fulham, 1-0 QPR, 1-0 Leeds period around that time - tired, dull predictable football.
The momentum was lost against Wigan and I don't see that the available players are capable of getting it back in time. My hope is that Norwich really don't show up on Saturday following their previous 3 defeats and we limp over the line with a scrappy old 1-0, 2-1 type result. If we go to WBA needing to win to be certain of finishing third, I'm practically certain that we won't see the job through
Re: Midweek games
I know it isnt a prem league match (although it is a midweek game
) but sky sports news are highlighting the fact that messi's hat-trick last night means that he has scored 68 goals this season which is the same amount as the whole Arsenal team

Pity the drugs cheat did fuck all in 2 legs against Chelsea and in the El Wankico the other dayaugie wrote:I know it isnt a prem league match (although it is a midweek game) but sky sports news are highlighting the fact that messi's hat-trick last night means that he has scored 68 goals this season which is the same amount as the whole Arsenal team

you need to look at the bigger picture - all clubs lose matches they dont expect.SteveO 35 wrote:Its sad indeed. However, I expected us to beat Wigan and Wolves at home. Man utd have lost at home to Blackburn and away at Wigan, Chelsea have lost at home to Villa, Newcastle lost 4-0 to Wigan, Spurs lost at home to Norwich, I could probably go on, they are just the results I thought of off the top of my head. there are no guarantees that we will our last 2 but I would rather we had those games instead of the ones Newcastle have. I never really expected us to finish 3rd. Spurs were a long way in front and we all knew they had an easy run in. 3rd would be a bonus, the only reason people will now be unhappy with 4th is that there is still the possibility that Chelsea could win the CL

Re: Midweek games
Red, its been a lot of fun mate....but sadly the WUMing has gone too far now. You've been on here all season predicting we would finish top 4, now with 2 games to go when the inevitable collapse is pending you change course. You have spent most of your threads shouting down people who thought we wouldn't finish top 4 FFSRed Member wrote:you need to look at the bigger picture - all clubs lose matches they dont expect.SteveO 35 wrote:Its sad indeed. He wouldn't break into Red's big 3 player category of Walcott, Song and RvPRed Member wrote:Any idiot can score goals against a load of crap clubs.augie wrote:I know it isnt a prem league match (although it is a midweek game) but sky sports news are highlighting the fact that messi's hat-trick last night means that he has scored 68 goals this season which is the same amount as the whole Arsenal team

Re: Midweek games
So if we finish 4th and the Chavs wins the CL and knock us out of the CL next season, this season will be considered a success? There can be no excuses if we finish behind Newcastle and/or the scum and drop out of the CL due to the Chavs winning it. There is no bad luck involved there, just incompetence.

no if we dont qualify for the CL it will be a failure
I created a thread on this yesterday in which I stated that AW should resign if that was the case
