Season ticket waiting list and prices

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

. I pushed it and the girl then got us in the family enclosure (with his ticket being £360 odd).
Not only that but they also moved my dad with us and refunded him as he is eligible for OAP so his ticket went from £985 to £430ish .
It's the first time in a while I have actually been pleased with how I have been treated by the club

Very pleasing to hear this, unfortunately there isn't so much good news at the club. In my dealings I've found some very helpful Box Office Staff, and some who couldn't care less .

On another note a mate called from Indonesia today to say he had been offered a season ticket upstairs ,last year he was over 20,000 on the list !

it appears that the season ticket waiting list has collapsed this summer.
Bearing in mind some supporters only renew so that they dont have to go to the back of a long queue what happens when that queue no longer exists? surely by next summer the waiting list will become almost non existent?

Up to the other day my dealings with the box office hadn't been that great but the girl I dealt with was really helpful. When she struggled with the computer system she did say she hadn't been there long so I suppose the club will train the helpfulness out of her. I don't think they will like the fact that me taking up the offer of my sons season ticket has resulted in them having to give me a refund due to my Dad's price reduction

The club have a big problem.

With so many people from upper tier moving to lower in the last 2 seasons, there is fuck loads of season tickets available upstairs

By next season I expect most people will keep tickets in the lower and again people will move downstairs if available

The list will get shorter and shorter unless they lower the price upstairs

I expect no waiting list soon and adverts on talksport and train stations

Unless the club keep big players and sign new ones

and this is after don't forget we had a relatively "successful" season in finishing 3rd.
what happens when we dont finish in the top 4?

that middle tier is going to start to look very empty because shifting premium seats without CL football will be very difficult

On a positive note, and you know how much I'm such a moany old *word censored*... but whenever I've had to deal with the box office I've found them superb...

As for the collapse of the waiting list... good... the club are finally reaping what they sow...

Basically within a couple of years there won't be a season ticket waiting list.

doesn't mean to say Arsenal won't continue to get big crowds though.
lets face it back in the 80s had anyone said that you would get 60,000 to every match you would have been laughed at.
if we continue to get 40,000 + attendances that is still very good, there wont be many clubs in the country getting more than that

after reading on twitter that someone at 38k had been offered one, i emailed the box office to ask how does the waiting list actually work, as im 19k and havent heard a thing. they replied:

Dear Sir,
Season Ticket Waiting List.
The information you have heard/been given is incorrect, the waiting list is dealt with in order of joining.

Regards
Steve Lamb

so dont believe all you hear on twitter and from others about getting offered one in the 20-30k's :blah:
