LOL that Man City group. I wanted to see how they did against Barca or Madrid and now get to. Their matches against Dortmund are going to be crucial.

As for our group. Easiest I can remember in a while? Probably still finish second and get Barca in 1st knockout stage.

If Schalke away is really matchday 6, it will be played in December. Don't fly in into Dortmund or Düsseldorf then, come to Cologne instead and visit the Cologne Weihnachtsmarkt, have a couple of Glühwein or Kölsch and you might see the two beautiful Cathedrals :D . I just wonder if Cologne's Tourism Center will really pay me for my marketing efforts

I am glad it's Schalke! :barscarf:

Oh, just realised I came late, didn't I

Where can I find tickets for Schalke away? It's kind of close to me (1121km).. oh wait, it closer to you than me from Slovenia   Oh well, I missed them last year with Udinese so I have to go :)

Nice draw by the way, next leg is Barcelona again? :)

I can get flights to Dusseldorf on Monday or Tuesday leaving at 7am and back on Wednesday morning at 10.30 for €100-120. Any ideas on places to stay etc. Also what about tickets, have been able to get some before on Red, doubtful for this one?

EDIT: My red membership before some smart arse steps in

Would love to travel to one or two of these but they never seem to fall half-term week, always just before/after. Grrr . . .

Veltins-Arena (Shalke) is 54,142 for International Matches so probably the same for Champions league, Dortmund with a similar capacity went to red members last season (actually Arsenal returned some tickets as well).
Stade de la Mosson (Montpellier) is only 32,900 where do you think this will sell out if at all, I would like to go so fingers crossed I get a chance. I have a new season ticket but lost my away points.
Karaiskakis Stadium (Olympiacos) is 32,115, if I go for a 3rd time I expect Arsenal to win this time!

A strangely similar draw to last season based on locations about 20 miles in Germany and just over 100 miles down the coast in France.

Were you in Dortmund? How strict are the German stewards/police on checking names on tickets? I have a possibility of borrowing a membership but not sure if it is a waste of time or not :rubchin:

Hi RG....I bought tickets using other memberships....no checks on names mate, absolutely none. Do it - I probably will be if a few people will be going, adding them to my card.

:barscarf:

Edit: The names weren't on the tickets

I'll tell you what will happen, we'll start with three wins and Wenger will play the reserves for the last three and cost us top spot and we'll draw Barca because of it.

Never seen names on tickets in Germany. Seems to be an Italian, and more recently Polish, thing.
