happened a couple of days ago now but . . . RIP to Winnie Johnson the mother of one of the children killed by the moors murderers and the only body not to have been found. She must have been through hell for the past 45 or so years hope she has got one of the best seats up there now

RIP Mika Yamamoto
Mika Yamamoto (26 May 1967 – 20 August 2012) was an award-winning Japanese video and photo journalist for the news agency Japan Press. Yamamoto was killed on 20 August 2012 while covering the ongoing Syrian civil war in Aleppo, Syria. She is the first Japanese and fourth foreign journalist killed in the Syrian Civil War that began in March 2011. She is also the fifteenth journalist killed in Syria in 2012.

RIP Dom Mintoff
Dominic "Dom" Mintoff (Maltese: Duminku Mintoff; sometimes referred to simply as il-Perit (the architect); August 6, 1916 – August 20, 2012) was a Maltese politician, journalist and architect who was leader of the Labour Party from 1949 to 1984, and was Prime Minister of Malta from 1955 to 1958, when Malta was still a British colony, and again, following independence, from 1971 to 1984. His tenure as Prime Minister was notable due to a general increase in the average standard of living and the establishment of a comprehensive welfare state.

RIP Phyllis Diller
Phyllis Diller (July 17, 1917 – August 20, 2012) was an American actress and comedienne. She created a stage persona of a wild-haired, eccentrically dressed housewife who made self-deprecating jokes about her age and appearance, her terrible cooking, and a husband named "Fang", while pretending to smoke from a long cigarette holder. Diller's signature was her unusual laugh.

RIP Guy Spitaels
Guy G. A. Gh. Spitaels (3 September 1931 – 21 August 2012) was a Belgian politician of the Socialist Party. He was Minister-President of Wallonia from 1992 to 1994 and president of his party for thirteen years, until he was succeeded by Philippe Busquin. Spitaels died of a brain tumor on 21 August 2012 at age 80.

She was a s funny as fuck - and did the reversal thing - making fun of her husband...she was sharp as a razor!.

RIP Paul Bassim
Paul Bassim, (November 14, 1922 - August 21, 2012) was a Lebanese Prelate of Roman Catholic Church.
Paul Bassim was born in Zgharta, ordained a priest on June 29, 1946 from the religious order of the Order of Discalced Carmelites. Bassim was appointed Vicar Apostolic of the Diocese of Beirut as well as titular archbishop of Laodicea ad Libanum on September 8, 1974 and ordained bishop November 23, 1974. Bassim would hold position of Vicar Apostolic of the Diocese of Beirut until his retirement on July 30, 1999.

RIP András József Szennay
András József Szennay (2 June 1921 – 22 August 2012) was a Hungarian prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He was born in Budapest and ordained a priest on 19 November 1944.
He was appointed abbot of the Pannonhalma Archabbey on 14 March 1973 and remained in this position until his resignation in 1991. He died in 2012, aged 91.

Paul Shan Kuo-hsi, S.J. (December 3, 1923 - August 22, 2012) was a cardinal in the Roman Catholic Church. He was at times the bishop of Hualien and Kaohsiung and the chairman of Fu Jen Catholic University.
