Scored, made runs cutting inside and generally tried to make things happen.
he runs the ball out of play on a consistent basis, passes badly then melts away...forget a 1/2 he's hasnt learnt that yet and never ever looks where he's crossing...its kick and hope...its a miracle that some of it comes off....omg he truly is the chosen overhyped one.....oh i forgot he's a "confidence player" that explains him being "not good at football"...85K all the way feo

That simply is not true.
Watch him for 90 minutes and you see that he does look up, though at times in the middle of this season he was passing without looking up on occasion.

alright mate you rate him.....i don't in the slightest....put "him" on the bench and have oxlade in his position and we would see some fireworks....oxlade is a super talent, its bleedin' obvious!!!....walcott has done f all given all the match time he's had with so little in return....btw he never looks up he must be on some sort of cross bonus pay scheme in his contract

Quartz at one stage in the 2nd half today sagna got the ball inside their half and was straight away closed down by an opponent so he looked for walnut to show short for a pass down the line but for some unknown fcuking reason the brainless clown turned and ran off in the opposite direction and no c**t knows why :? Sagna had nobody forward or even sidewards to pass to and ended up passing the ball 20 yards backwards

mate....he's been doing that forever just watch him....he passes it back then instead of making a run to receive a possible ball back he lets someone else deal with the pressure while runs away and melts and hides behind two defenders.... it does my head in....he's a confidence trickster player alright

Augie, I have always acknowledged his limitations as they stand.

But he is nowhere near as bad as some make out, and as I have said many times on here, I would keep him.

The Ox looks a better prospect for sure, but for the next couple of seasons The Ox cannot be played 90 mins each game for risk of stress fracture injuries in players who play too much under age 21.

Gervinho? Not sold on him yet.

So who better do we have?

excuse the interrupt, but why can't he play 90 mins? are footballers all little lambs now? just because walcott is made out of putty the ox is most definitely not....stop lowering the bar for rubbish like walcott....he's useless mate the ox is an OX he would make wally out to be a "no confidence mug" thats wenger problem .....i hope wenger doesnt balls up the ox career with his weird tactical mindgames

But I keep coming back to the same question quartz.....at what price would you keep him ? Is he worth 75k ? 80k ? Or maybe more ? Personally I would pay him no more than 55-60k per week and that is only cos there are other average footballers in the club on that kind of dough

Footballers under age 21 cannot play 90 minutes every week without causing fissures in their bones.
The bones do not fully form until age 21.
The result of overplaying are that these small fissures enlarge to become stress fracture injuries of the sort that Wilshere and Cesc picked up.
And of the sort that meant Fowler and Owen were finished as regular top class players after age 26.

Augie, I would pay Walcott 75K a week for sure (if that is what he going rate is. Whilst we have all read in the papers what players are paid, I have yet to see an actual wage slip to verify the papers are correct!)

I am going against the grain by supporting Walcott's new contract, so be it.
There are many outfield Arsenal players I would sell and replace before Walcott:

Squillachi
Djourou
Eastmond
Diaby
Lansbury
Arshavin
Watt
Chamakh
Park

He is better than Chamakh and Park, but I cannot see him returning to Arsenal.

Are you Mikkel Kessler in disguise by the way?

Spot on augie

Walcott is coming up to the last year of his contract.Do we give a player who keeps flattering to decieve £85k a week?Too many fans our looking short term and judging Walcott on the last month and forgetting the previous 6 years. His crossing is still piss poor. I would sell Walcott as i dont think he is going to get any better than he is now while Chamberlain is a different case altogether. He is the real deal.just look at his performances v Man utd and Milan. This kid is another Rooney.Who Wenger should be building the team around and definately not Walcott
