Arsenal are reportedly considering a summer move for Udinese forward Matej Vydra.

The 20-year-old, who is on loan at Watford, has netted 20 goals in the Championship from 30 appearances (21 starts) this season, helping the Hornets to move up to second in the league table.

That'll save you money. :?

Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood promises team will be strengthened .

Hill-Wood said however: "Let me be quite clear that our intention is to keep our best players and recruit new talent to make us stronger.

"Although we were disappointed to see Robin van Persie leave the club, we have taken steps to secure our best players going forward and have recently signed Jack Wilshere, Theo Walcott, Kieran Gibbs, Aaron Ramsey, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Carl Jenkinson to new long-term contracts.

"During this financial period we also invested £40.9million in the acquisition of new players, Lukas Podolski, Santi Cazorla and Olivier Giroud, and the extension of other player contracts. More recently we added Nacho Monreal to our ranks from Malaga.

"Our desire is to make everyone connected with Arsenal proud of the club. We know that comes through winning trophies but also through the way we do things and that will remain our constant guide."

I wonder if PHW will be stuffed when he kicks the bucket. Then after the financial results for each half year come in, he will be wheeled out in a bathchair, with a G&T cellotaped to his hand, and a recording of what he came out with today, and for the past eight years?
I reckon that the owner truly believes that Arsenal supporters are sheep, with limitless resources.
They must laugh themselves fucking giddy.

17m profit seems to be rather small when you considered we sold RVP and Song. Its like what Shearer said if you dont finish in the top 4 no top player will want to join you. Ii think 4th may be a tad out of reach this year.

The Nou Camp faithful not happy with Fabregas tonight and making their feelings known, lets put a cheeky bid in while they still have the hump with him.

I watched the first half and Cesc had an absolute 'mare :( Earlier in the season there were rumours that he wasn't happy at barca and I for one would want him back in the morning. Of course it should be said that no self respecting talented footballer would leave a club like barca to join a declining club that has no ambitions to win trophies again

He's a big part of their problem at the moment. Quite funny because actually they could just let him sit on the bench and it would solve the problem but for some reason he plays almost every game. They still have not found a way to really fit him into the system. I'm not sure they ever will.. so in theory they might sell him.. but as I said they play him all the time so I'm not too sure if they share my oppinion..

With Barca sitting 12 points clear in the league and Cesc having played a significant role in that achievement, I just wish he could be 'part of the problem' at Arsenal!! :banghead:

Real Betis are currently holding a talks with Arsenal officials as they attempt to extend the loan deal of striker Joel Campbell for another season.

The Costa Rica international is currently at the Spanish side on a season-long loan and it seems that he has suitably impressed. Campbell has yet to play a single game for Arsenal and should a deal be agreed then it would be his third consecutive season away from the Emirates.
