As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
I read somewhere (could be on another blog ) a suggestion that barca would not sell cesc unless they have another midfielder signed up but I dont agree with that - barca already have thiago chomping at the bit for gametime and if rumours are to be believed, he is entitled to leave them this summer at an agreed reduce price cos he didnt a certain amount of pre agreed playing time. If they want to keep thiago, and personally I think they do, wouldnt selling cesc who is ahead of him in the pecking order, be a way of convincing him to stay ? Barca are, in my opinion anyway, overloaded with midfielders and after buying neymar and needing to buy defenders, I would suggest that they are looking to offload in a bid to generate cash - selling to us might not be their first preference (cos they might get more money elsewhere) but if they need the funds then I would suggest that he is gettable

Its purely to sell papers, most mancs never believed it anyway. The papers should just focus on the bale angle.
Spot on. People don't realise that because of the shit weather there is going to be a serious shortage of crops and thus all our breakfast cereals - and perhaps even some of our brews - are going to be affected!!

Don't think for a minute he's actually available - and certainly not at anything like that price - but if he did go to United it would suck the last bit of faith that I have in football. It will be infuriating if and when we don't bring in anybody quality but the crumb of comfort is that everybody knew that was a strong possibility. Losing van Judas to United hurt but Fabregas going there would be on a completely different level and I really don't think I could watch those two lead them to the title whilst we're meant to celebrate another year of financial prudence and finishing 20+ points off the winners.

They've still got Song sitting on the bench so they could release cesc. I'll simply remind all Gooner's Cesc took a penalty against barca, and scored for us...with a broken leg. Never seen an Arsenal player do that, and carry on in complete agony for the remaining 7 minutes. Bring him home.
I love Cesc, can't see him at ManUre. It would be heartbreaking.
Seen people genuinely say they don't want him, he's failed at Barca and is a loser...
Hes a proper 15/20 goal a season midfielder with amazing creativity, drive and leadership.
Was pretty surprised by those comments.
Cesc is a great player and I dont blame him for wanting to join Barcelona. My god I love Arsenal and I would want to play for them. Bring him back here or we will have to watch him and RVP rip up the Prem.
Is Cesc better than what we currently have? If the answer is yes then fucking buy him back you tight *word censored*
That's what football is about trying to improve your team year on year. It's not a project or some untouchable managers plaything. Buy better players year after year and soon enough you'll have a team capable of winning things. Simple isn't it?
