Dodgy vindaloo last night :?:

I felt sick playing cricket yesterday but that could be due to the fact that it's my sons 21st birthday next weekend and we have set up party tents with pool table etc in the garden on Friday, anyhow this all had to be rigorously tested as well as the alcohol (don't want to be offering stale beer  ), stumbled into bed at 3am, literally fell out of the bed at 6am when turning over

Played cricket for 6 hours feeling fucking awful

And if you had of fallen asleep in the middle of it would anybody have even noticed ? An old geezer that was a customer in our pub years ago used to say that cricket is a funny old game.....it's the only game that can last five days and then be declared a draw cos you run out of time

Yes agree but we play 42 overs each innings and there is almost always a result, we play 20/20 midweek which is brilliant fun.

I will always love cricket as me and my Dad (god bless him) both played for the town together and as a youngster I went to cricket with him on Saturdays and Sundays and just loved being with him and as he died when I was still young it makes it even more poignant to me.

Anyhow before I get all melancholy I have to finish setting up this party stuff before sampling more alcohol (still have to be certain the beer is ok for the party  ) before settling down, relaxing and then getting totally stressed for the best part of 2 hours

My missus will say the usual, "try not to swear and shout", my response is standard "ok baby I'll try, promise", 2 minutes into the game, the ball will ping off girouds/gervinho's/theos shin and I am up "For fuck sake you useless cu.nt!!!!!"

SLAM!!!!! That's the door and the missus has gone to watch come dine with me in the dining room :barscarf:

Spurs fans all sound supremely confident that they'll win and that its therefore all down to the Newcastle v Arsenal match. SAFC are shite like but I think they're being a bit too confident, Di Canio won't accept a shite performance and he's told the players that if they don't put 100% effort in he's going to cut their holidays from 40 days to the minimum he can give them (28). Some of our players also had flights booked from London so they could go on holiday straight after the game and he's told them that they've lost their money - he wants them focused on the match not thinking about a break so all of the squad have to go back to Sunderland after the match and there will be a couple days training next week before they go anywhere. The pressure is off us but we've sold out our allocation and after a, by and large, woeful season, Di Canio and the fans won't accept this underperforming bunch of tossers putting in half a shift. With nothing to lose we just might spring a surprise on Tottenham. Fingers crossed anyway.

Here's a hilarious pre-match video for you. I particularly like the way that they were so short on "spurs beating Arsenal" highlights that they included their goals from the 5-2 tonking. And the balance of power has shifted so much that they're relying on Newcastle to help them finish above our worst team for 20-odd years

Please, please, please let us finish above these fucknuggets.

Trouble is once I start I don't stop. I've already had one early start this weekend (Friday) that led to me bouncing off the walls in the hall. She knows I'm going to be pissed today, it's just a question of how pissed?!

Good reading lots of the posts, you lot really do care about the Arsenal. Better than reading all the crap about Wenger.
Please god let us finish above the scum.
