Stop saying it's morning next week. It's fucking confusing for me on a Sunday night.

Caught the last few overs. After a long day in the field with a wicket like that you just cannot put down catches like Carberry did off Haddin. 89th over and that wicket would have given England a huge boost, instead they are going to be facing two in-form batsmen in the morning and Aussies may well plunder another 200 runs. Carberry is a good fielder but he just looked so casual, such a straightforward catch at that level.

Looked at the bowling stats and it's just not on for a 3rd seamer to only get through 8 overs. Everybody chipped in with wickets but seems crazy to be bowling on the first day of a Test on a pitch like that and only trust 2 seamers.

MItchell Johnson is a joy to watch and showing up the limitations of England. He, and Australia, have got England by the goolies and they're squeezing  :o

Root nearly got his mate run out, so desperate was he to get off strike and then Aus missed the opportunity of an lbw appeal (still a weak part of their game)

Not looking good and I'd be surprised if England batted out anywhere near the end of play tomorrow.

I tend to wake up a bit early for work and watch last half-hour or so. Have to say it hasn't worked wonders so far

Apparently Carberry would have been given out on review last ball? I really like Carberry, would love him to nudge a ton. Ultimately though the likes of Pietersen and Bell need to fire with Prior chipping in to set a platform for the rest of the series. Clarke is undoubtedly top drawer but let's not forget the pressure on him after day 1 of the First Test before we gave him a reprieve by allowing him to come in again on a second day road of a pitch with a healthy lead already.

England need to adapt because all the pitches will be like this - not offering any sustained help to the spinner(s) and not much seam movement, limited swing conditions and the Kookaburra ball so a lot of reliance on brawn and sheer pace.

On one hand he's certainly earned the right to give it some lip but on the other hand he's a crybaby little prick whose mum and girlfriend had an argument splashed all over the papers.

Can't wait, as we are already melting here in the 36 deg heat.

Weekend is gonna be a scorcher, and I want to bait that gobshite Johnson.
I will be thinking of the Gooners at home in their crap weather and fucked up transport services as my tan gets even darker.

Well done to Ben Stokes, England comprehensively dicked in all 3 Tests. Little else to say right now.

Happy for Ben Stokes - looks like england have uncovered a handy allrounder there. Good on him, was pleased he got his 100 tbh.
