You could see Wilshere was knackered - and needs to be rested.....admittedly maybe he shouldn't be so tired already, but he was today...the first half was FLAT....But the goal lifted all the players and even JW seemed to be re-energised...
I know some have said that Ozil should have buried that chance when Rambo put it at his feet, but have to say Vorm was quick closing down the angle and made an excellent save...

If not made in jest then those are embarrassing statements - to even suggest that flamoney is the reason for those victories is laughable Why not say that we have won every game since ozil joined us ? Or that we have won every game since rosicky got injured ?
Nothing embarrassing there Augie?
Flamini is a decent player who has added balance and steel to a midfield.
He knows what his job is, and does it.
That has a positive knock-on effect.
He is a player that was needed.
How good he is over the course of a season we can discuss in May.

Don't deny the need for a bit of steel in midfield (though I would prefer if it wasn't a mercenary b**tard who would sell his granny out in a heartbeat ) but the insinuation is that flamoney is the key reason for this winning run and that is utter bullshit Ozil's assists and ramsey's goals are far more valid reasons for this winning run and in fact half of those victories were gained prior to the arrivals of ozil and flamoney anyway It was an embarrassing attempt to try and big up flamoney's importance to the team

Wouldn't say Flamini was awesome. I was watching him particularly carefully today and his decision-making in terms of when to press and when to sit is far better than anyone else would do in our squad in that role - but he was slack in possession on a number of occasions and got skinned once or twice when he did make the odd bad decision to chase the ball.
bit harsh
I don't think so mate - not slamming him or anything but it's just the nature of his role that he's going to get judged by the number of mistakes he makes rather than the number of moments of brilliance like an attacker. His role is a very important one to the team but it's not really the most difficult.
you could say mertesacker was shit for letting them score in that case, ozil was shit he did fark all, wilshere was crap again, picking the bones out of someones performance you will always find negatives, the team won,we did enough and flamster contributed massively, wait till hes injured
Yes and had you come on here saying Ozil, Mertesacker or Wilshere were "awesome" then I would have responded in a similar manner
Blimey was not expecting this! Good chance to take 7 -9 points from the next 3 games...for me Flamini has been the key, no real interest in getting forward, unlike Song, say.
If, I know it's a big if, all our players are vaguely fit at around the same time, we have managed to assemble a class midfield, a defence that is one centre-half away from matching that for depth, but lacking upfront.
Gnabry - like Walcott but with a brain. Early days, might have a good one on our hands.
Wilshere - I think we have to stick with him, clearly not playing well but he adds a bit of an edge to the team.
Really happy with Gnabry today; he is quick, but unlike Walcott he is willing to put in a defensive shift and doesn't run in straight lines. Great finish also.
Won on my first bet today, both Manchester teams to lose plus an Arsenal win, got me a fair bit of cash!
I think we're a Suarez, Reus or Benteke away in January to winning the league, and I think all three of those players would beg to join us now. We're a desirable team again.
I see a lot of posts about Wilshere's poor form but I think he has performed admirably on the wing. Having a attacking midfielder on the wing allows to really dominated possession in the final third when we want to.
Great result even if the game wasn't great up to the first goal...
Szczesney had a great game proving perhaps his errors are down to his attitude rather than ability, Gnarby looked good, took his goal without fuss or panic and generally went at them. Maybe I am reading Jack wrong but is it possible he doesn't like not being the main man and as a result tries to do the impossible ? I am delighted for Ramsey, he has/had his critics , myself included, but I don't think I have ever been happier for an individual Arsenal player.
At two up we were comfortable but at the end were hanging on a bit...their goal came from causal play by Sagna and Mert. That is the worry , it has become a media cliche to bang on about our defence but their record is ok but the lapses can be fatal. Not that I wish for this but another massive test for this team will be their reaction to a defeat.

I thought Gnabry had a very good game today - completely the opposite type of performance from last week. Against Stoke he saw plenty of the ball and did okay to be fair without ever really looking remotely threatening. Yesterday he saw quite little of the ball but when he did he was running with purpose and looked a real threat - and what's more his decision-making was very good for somebody of his age/experience.

Is AW expecting Giraud to play every minute of every game? He looks out on his feet for the last quarter of every game.
1st half was awful without them testing the goal keeper to any great extent. The goals were anything but tippy tappy. In what way was Gnabry's goal tippy tappy ?
Thought the second goal was a good team goal involving all the attacking players but it was from our defensive 3rd to their penalty area in a few one touch passes, not what I would call tippy tappy.
As much as I'm not getting carried away, with our injuries and us still only playing at about a 3rd of our best, I'd take any victory we can get. Makes a change for them to pleasantly surprise us, instead of the usual being one big disappointment......then again there's still time for that
Tippy Tappy was an observation, not a criticism. Both goals involved quick, one-touch passing from players close together in the middle reaches of the pitch. I thought they were both decent goals.
My concern is that we don't seem to have any options but to play this way.
Jack especially and Gnabry as well look to come inside, so we regularly have all our midfielders and Giraud in the same area of the pitch. With Giraud's lack of pace the opposition can compress the play. Better defensive teams than Swansea will stay compact and make it a lot harder for us. We scored when we were able to move the ball quickly.
This also means our fullbacks are exposed, which happened yesterday and has in most games this season.
Even Barca have a player hugging the touchline (even if they seldom pass to him). I think we needed a di Maria or similar in the transfer window (Tom Ince might be worth a punt in January).
