Napoli at home

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

2-0 up after 15 minutes, should have been about 4 by half time. Not to panic, just kill the game. Sucked all the belief out of Napoli and gave them very little for free. As professional as it gets 8)

job done. two early goals. no injuries.

the team surprised me today as did Napoli's lack of a come back.

now on to the bread and butter.

Completely bossed them, restricted them to speculative long range efforts. If we play like this for the rest of the season I will be one happy bastard.

Liked the way we used the flanks well, not just to pass the ball but for our players to make off the ball runs and pull Napoli's out of position.
Ozil and Ramsey exploited the space.

Just wish we had subbed Giroud with 20 minutes to go, not sure how long he can last playing that lone striker goal nearly every game, but he looked busy tonight?

Made a very decent Napoli side look incredibly average tonight. Great all round performance and result

He is really fading in the last 20 minutes of games. I noticed on about 69 minutes he made a gut-busting sprint back to challenge a napoli player in midfield. A commendable effort but he looked fucked for about 10 minutes afterwards, perhaps he needs to work on his economy of effort
