As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

hmm... we're showing progress. I think to keep referring to the 8 years is unfair on the players... that's not their burden to carry so if this group continues to fight and stay focused, but ultimately fall short of winning a trophy, I will be content. PROGRESS is the important thing.
Not sure about us signing a striker though. I think there's a chance we'll bring someone in, but also think there's a chance Wenger will use Podolski as giroud's understudy.
agree with everything here.
and i have to admit to being curious as to how podolski might fare with all this quality behind him. always seemed to work best on the left coming inside, but who knows.
Ozil hasn't shone in any of the last half a dozen games or so, but still has that absolute quality to end up with a couple of assists. Its easy to see why he outdid every player in Europe in that regard over the past couple of years because the weight of his passing is absolutely perfect almost all of the time. I still think at times this year the pace of the English game will catch him out, but if this is 'first season' stuff then god only knows how good he might be once he's adapted to the speed. No matter what anyone says about games in Spain, the lesser teams do not provide the sort of physical challenge that the likes of Cardiff provide and I think it takes all midfielders a season to get used to (even the great Pires admitted as much in his first year)
ozil has shown very few flashes of brilliance but he makes up for it by doing the simple things so very well, that cross for Rambo today was perfect, imagine that was a cross from gibbs!!!im sure next season ozil will ooze class like bergkamp but for now its about bedding in.he mayhave cost 42m but that's less than half that that shower from the lane spent on 10 players who haven't even managed ozils stats between them
Continue to be very impressed by the performances- 3 clean sheets in a row, confidence high. There was a spell after the break that I think we were all worried about, but BFG Kos and ches were rock solid yet again.
There was one piece of brilliance by Ozil in the first half that just oozed class. I am sure he will find his way- there was a tackle he ducked out of that made me think he isnt used to the physical side of the game.
Santi perhaps still seems short on match fitness,he is such a contast to last season, Wilshire is playing really well at the moment, rather a terrier especially if he looses the ball .
The support was great today, many many Pat Rices too- I do hope he was able to hear them

a 3-0 victory is a massive statement of intent where other title chasers have failed so far.
Could we actually do it !!
Hmm... the scoreline is a little misleading. We got the last 2 goals (86', 90') when Cardiff were chasing the game.
A win was fair, but big big thank you to Chesney for a top class save to keep us in front
Agree, but overall we could have been 2-3 up on the first half alone.
Seaman made many a save which meant we collected 3 points, on the way to titles and Ches is finally looking the part this season, that is his job and he is doing it very well.
Other seasons, we may well have capitulated after "deserving" 3 points only to let the opposition back into a game late on - It's not happening so far this season and we now finally have a strong bench to pick from to either see a game out (Flaimini / Rosicky) or go for more goals with Walcott and soon Podolski to return.
It's still just Giroud getting an injury that is keeping me on the pessimistic front at the moment
Cardiff supporting mate told me they sang "you're just a shit Aaron Ramsey" when wilshere went off and then when Ramsey shanked one sang "you're just a shit Jack Wilshere".
Fantastic to see Rambo showing the likes of rvp and his ilk what class is.
Going hard out against your old club but showing respect when you score against them.
Acknowledged the Cardiff fans showing respect to him.

A cut above.
He did show his class, but lets not re-open the RVP debate. He might not have celebrated calmly had he been moronically labelled a rapist and called a '*word censored*' every time he touched the ball
Respect is a 2 way street - well done to Ramsey and the Cardiff fans too. Applauding the goal was absolutely extraordinary......haven't see us do that apart from Eduardo returning and we were 5 up !
Just got back from Wales after a very enjoyable weekend, only spoilt by the Chelsea/Man City results.
we were very solid and apart from the WS save Cardiff didnt really pose any serious problems.
Kos and Mert were immense mopping stuff up and blotting out danger, Arteta too was just brilliant stopping attacks in there tracks and just breaking up play ,that was the platform for our midfield to crop up everywhere interchanging positions and playing triangles through their defence.
Ozil, Ramsey and Jack really played well, thought Santi was a little off but worked tirelessly .
brilliant through ball from Ozil for Flaminis goal and a great pass from Theo for Ramseys second.
A mention for the Cardiff fans too who applauded Ramseys goals and Pat Rice, and also a few applauded us Gooners at the end, probably because they had just seen a side do what few others had done to Cardiff at home and also because we sang all match long, we must have some of the best away support in the prem.
looking forward to Man City already
