Could have been worse could have been better.First leg in Istanbul is crucial, happy its tues 19th weds 27th and not weds 20th tues 26th as it gives us an extra day before everton away(we maybee a leetle beet jadeed line at the ready
)and then the home leg is before leicester which is on the sunday.

It's fcuking hot in Istanbul in mid August.

Would have loved it if the away game was on the Wednesday as I'm out in turkey for my holiday and my flight doesn't get in till 22.00...on Tuesday night. .

Find it hilarious that the Vincent Tan Arena (or the 'Cardiff City Stadium' as its still known for the moment) is hosting the UEFA Super Cup tomorrow. I understand that Cardiff has proven to be a good venue for one-off sporting events. I understand that they don't want to play it in front of a half-empty Millennium Stadium. I still can't reconcile that with deciding to play it in a shitty little identikit stadium which has nowhere accommodating within walking distance and is not in the friendliest of areas.

How much of a kickback did that cost Tan then?
Sincil Bank for the CL final
