As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
He had been with the Old Trafford club since the age of eight.
But he told Arsenal's club website: "I've envisaged myself playing in this team before. For it to finally happen is very exciting."
"I've been at United ever since I was a little boy and I had a great time there," Welbeck added.
"I just think this is the next stage of my development - to come to Arsenal, to really show people what I can do as a footballer and hopefully get to the place where I want to be.
"I really do believe that coming to Arsenal is the right decision."
"I believe that with the manager's style of play and with the magnificent players in midfield slotting balls through, I can run on to the end of those balls and put them away," said Welbeck.
"I'd like to bring pace and power to the game. At Arsenal, we're not short of combination football and I like to join in on that and get in behind defenders and try to get shots on goal.
"I want to score some goals and help the team to achieve the right results."
note the "we're" there.
i might have to transfer my irrational support of Giroud to this one.
I'm not upset by this signing, his stats are decent enough for a striker played everywhere but as a striker and he seems to have a good attitude.
Yes he has looked shit in the past but who hasn't for England and United, he gives us something Giroud don't which is pace and movement so hopefully he will get an early goal or two and we might see the player come out in him.

I'm actually glad that he's not playing, but it is a bit of shame to see him not play. I think you look at players a different way after they sign for you. hopefully he'll start against Switzerland on Monday as this is pitiful.
radio says sturridge and Sterling, OX and Jack all doing okay though in fits.
Confident prediction: Arsenal have backed a winner with Danny Welbeck. And he's not talking like a discard. He seems inspired by the move.

Paul Hayward daily telegraph.
I'm in no way referring his above comment from what I'm gonna say but that Paul Hayward seems to be a right d*ckhead - have seen him a few times on sunday supplement and he talks in such a condescending way and he seems to be a right boring w*nker
