I was delighted when we signed him, because he can be (and indeed was) a wonderful player. I thought the injuries had ruined him but he can still perform to a high level, even at 34.
My concern is though that as soon as he gets a run and you think he might turn the clock back, he gets crippled again.
A lot of people attribute our failure to win the title in 07-08 to the eduardo injury and last minute goal v brum but i think the injury to rosicky that season played just as big a part

...or benched. What I like the most in him is his ability and willingness to always try to go forward. He rarely plays backwards but tries to find paths going forward. His pace is still also good.
Doesn't make sense, if you're going to rest someone, do it, don't give them a chance to get injured. Not a surprising substitution from the mong in charge though, true to form!
