The fact they've won the toss already makes them warm favourites I reckon.
After seeing the second ball edged over the slips I am not sure ! Looks quite pacy and lacking in grass so it should get easier to bat as the game progresses.

You going to Oval day 5?
Trent Bridge 4 & 5 and looking at other possibilities too; It depends on finances though as watching live test cricket when paying for two is a wallet killer.

Enjoy day five mate!
If you're not boozing £25 plus packed lunch is a bargain !

No wheels mate so I'm having to run the gauntlet of train companies and their ideas of "cheap" fares. :cussing:

Oh great.

Warne has just turned up and is already filling my ears with shit - time to put the TMS commentary team on.

Aus 57 - 0 and going well.

Looks very much like a batting wicket.

Wicket!

Warner goes for 38.

Ali comes on and is smacked shitless to all corners of the ground until the final ball of the over. Warner tries to launch Ali into the stands but can only sky the ball to Anderson’s safe hands.

Smith in next and England will be very happy with that; Warner less so as he pretty much threw his wicket away.

Aus 79 - 1.

Lunch.

Aus are on 104 – 1 and they’ll be pretty happy with their mornings work. Rogers has 43 and Smith is on 16.

Good start for the Aussies.

Look set for 350+ after the first day, unless they start throwing their wickets away again.

 8)

Play resumes after lunch and Rogers goes to 50.

Let's hope they take a leaf out of David Warner's book then.

Wouldn't be the first shitlist I'd be on. Wouldn't be the last. 8)

Aus 150 - 3.

This is the slowest Lord's pitch I've seen for years; well done ECB for requesting these tedious, flat decks.

Aus are well set and will likely post, well, a cricket score.

Steve Smith moves on to a tidy 50.

Fuck. All. Happening.

Stokes tries another yorker which catches Smith's bat and just carries to Ian Bell in the slips.....who drops it. :cussing:

It was a difficult chance, but England need to be holding onto everything on this wicket.

Aus 167 - 1.

Shocking wicket, a batsman's paradise.

Tea's been and gone and Aus have negotiated the first couple of overs upon resumption of play with no drama.

196 - 1.
