Mesut Ozil

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Ozil has scored more headed goals than Theo " I am a centre-forward" Walcott

Oh Northbank123.

What have you done, son?

There must be an option for deleting your own thread, or maybe the guy's just a sadist.

If this thread is what finally motivates him to finally stop floating around the periphery of far too many big games then you're welcome.

Yes, it's this thread that has made the difference to Ozil. The forum is that influential. 8)

In other news, Wenger is currently scouting the forum for tactical advice on how best to deal with the absence of Coquelin. His logic being, he may have had 30 years in football but the miserable old fuckers on the Gooner forum have hundreds of years experience between them and are never wrong :barscarf:

We should build a team around him. This bloke would of been immense in the days of Henry and Bergkamp, We need a striker with pace and another wide player and it would be great.

Shame Bayern already have Douglas Costa with him one side, Sanchez the other and a Forward with electric pace we could actually win things

Pleasantly surprised by Ozil's application this season. He was comfortably our best player yesterday, his work rate has significantly improved he actually seems to be the sort of player that wants to be at Arsenal now.

I am more than happy to eat my words from earlier this season. No way should we sell.

After two years of inconsistency and floating on the periphery of some games whilst going completely missing in others (particularly big games), nobody is happier that he has finally started consistently performing as everybody knew he was capable of than I am.

But there are some very short memories on here. For all this worshipping now a lot of people have conveniently forgotten how poor he was for the vast majority of last season whilst Sanchez worked his bollocks off every week and dug us out time and time again.

Wind your neck in fella.

I'm glad to see Ozil live up to his price tag at last. Long may it continue :barscarf:

If only we had a lethal striker he could work with :banghead:

When we signed him I was pissed off we never got a good striker in as well. Typical Wenger leaving the job half-done again :(

Poll was done on September 20h.
A that point Ozil had not lived up to a club record transfer fee.

If the poll was done today the result would be different.
