I guess Albanians aren't bad after all!

Trust me haters, what I was about to say, I would have been banned from this forum permanently for sure!
He has well and truly silenced the long tradition of anti-Albanian sentiment on this forum.

Oh wait...
What is this guy on about? I've seen him make similar comments before like there is some Albanian discrimination on here. Or maybe he thinks people didn't rate Xhaka because he's Albanian? Odd.
This used to be this guys favorite site to read about Arsenal! After being off for couple of years, he decided to come back, since he had great times in this forum, back in the days! It used to be fun here, no one cared where u from, nor what your heritage is! Suddenly things changed here, there was a lot of trash thrown at who is what or where he comes from...and it hurt him!
He travels a lot, and it was really hard for him lately to be a Kosovo-Albanian! Just because he's a KA, does not mean he's part of mafia, nor a savage, nor a drug dealer, nor a smuggler... and many more other things that he faces everywhere he goes! He was least expecting to face any of it in here! He loves Arsenal, his kids to, they adore Arsenal, he advised them to be part of this forum! The other day he was hurt, and kinda regret it having his kids see, how hated are they, just because where they come from! That's all!
Hope u guys do well, no mater where ya come from! And hopefully we'll win it these year!
Nobody should be judged just by where they are from that is wrong (unless it's Tottenham) .

It sounded like he was expecting that forum readers would prejudge him based on his roots, I doubt that , we just want decent players with a decent attitude, It might have lost alot in translation I am guessing. Seemed a bit of pride in there too, and why not, he has a thunderbastard of a shot on him ;)

I'm missing the part where there was anti Albanian and/or Kosovan abuse, as is everyone else by the looks of it.

Maybe there was some stuff that I didn't see but on the Cannonballs referendum thread there was only you trying to make an issue about nationality when one didn't exist.

I think there's something lost in translation. I don't think KAQAK is saying there's anything anti-Albanian about the fourm :o   ... I read it as KAQAK having a dig at the Swiss(?) media who haven't taken kindly to Xakha's comments about representing Albania.

To be honest, I don't know the full story but there's rumblings somewhere with Xakha involved.

Anyway, don't know, don't care.

It pisses me off no end when people say "oh football was different then" - not really. They still had a massive financial disadvantage against the major clubs in this country and in an era when top players fucked off to Italy because that's where the big wages were paid. If it was so fucking easy to win it back then, we'd have done it wouldn't we?

Would like to see them back up in the top flight and gutted to be missing this due to business commitments - proper team, proper cup, proper ground
I don't think it was "easy" to win the European Cup back then, but the knock out structure and less commercial sponsorship money certainly made it "possible" for a team like Forest to win it. But of course that alone wasn't why they won it; they had a management team that got the absolute best from their players - and a lot of people in the game put that partly down to Peter Taylor's work on the training ground.

The only thing I'd say is that whilst Forest might have been at a serious financial disadvantage against the major clubs on their way to winning that league title, they were still the first club to buy a £1million player in Trevor Francis. In fact the actual transfer was £1,150,000, which included a 15% commission paid to the Football League! So I don't think we can say they had a "massive" financial disadvantage in Europe.

It's still one of the greatest achievements in football though. There is no denying that. But when you add in the wheeler dealer and bung activity that Cloughy was "allegedly" up to, the fairy tale ain't quite as pure and lovely as some would have us believe...
Leicester seem to have stepped up to Champions League without any fear. Chapter 2 of the dream will be the Greatest achievement.

I've finally seen the highlights on Channel 5; they just showed the goals

Another great goal from Xhaka! Hope he scores more of these screamers whenever he gets the chance. It's obvious that TOF will clip his wings, as he has done to anyone at the club who once had a good shot on them. Xhaka should ignore him and shoot anyway, even if that does get him benched.

I'm glad that Perez stuck the penalty away well to break his duck. He worked very hard to fight off the defenders for his second goal; good to see the lad has some physicality about him. His return pass for the fourth goal was class. Chamberlain stuck it away well. Just a shame he has such a handbrake on his play. Frustrating. If only we had a manager who could get the best out of the players we have...

Good draw for the next round. Hopefully if TOF puts a little more strength in the line-up, I'll try to watch it. I want any 'gettable' trophy for Arsenal.

Can't believe no one has mentioned the elephant in the room!

In absolute contradiction of what one or two punters (cough Herd cough cough)  on here claimed, Billy Big Bollocks Bendtner revealed himself to still be utter utter gash the other night. His first touch is still that of a blind rapist, and his movement is still non-existent - he makes Giroud look like Wrighty.

I remember the claim on here that if Bendtner had gotten the opportunities Giroud did, Bendtner would have been the better player. The fact is that Bendtner did get the opportunities, he was just shite.

Giroud certainly ain't top quality but Benny isn't fit to clean Giroud's boots - and that's saying something!

Thank fuck we finally got rid of him. :|
