Aston Villa Vulvas Sat 6th Feb KO 1230

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Every fucking time we get a bit of space one of theirs just hacks us down and the ref does fuck all.

We can blame the refs as much as we want

Simply covers up another shameful 36 minutes of football being played out at a snail's pace

Could be any one of dozens of first half displays I've seen from us in the league over the past year
I think you’re letting your hatred of Arteta get in the way of things.

If Holding had of taken a Villa player out in that exact same situation you would 100% be saying he was lucky not to be sent off.
Its got absolutely nothing to do with Arteta. It was a debatable red, by no means nailed on

If you're happy with this first half Rodders then good for you mate. I'm calling what I see - another slow, plodding crock of shit performance with slapstick defending and the same gormless players making the same mistakes

After his escape with a yellow, Konsa was through the back of Lacazette there - second yellow? Not even a foul apparently.

Saka getting fouled deliberately all over the place - Grealish from behind for a second time - no thought of a card.

This ref is an absolute no-mark. We have been shit and it is no excuse, but the ref is simply scared to make decisions.

He never gets booked, he's the new Rooney. Allowed to get away with whatever he wants because he's English and likes football or wants to win or something.

SteveO I’m talking about one particular incident, why are you equating that with me being happy with the entire half of football. Makes no sense.

Just allowed a deliberate handball from that free kick to pass by without a booking.

The ref hasn't been great mate but that's all that's being discussed on here. Scroll back through the last few pages. Villa players should be booked, a debatable red etc

More to the point this is fucking dreadful

Xhaka, Pepe, Cedric - same c.unts, same shit

It's his second one...on the same player....But he's the golden boy so he still has another three to go.

I still think with the right coaching over time, and the right manager Xhaka can develop into a decidely average player.

One of the physios walking off the pitch with his arm around Saka. Does not bode well.

Amen to that. The game as a whole has been fucking dire since the goal so there hasn’t been many talking points apart from the ref being poor and the pitch being like glue.

Only ourselves to blame for being behind sadly, awful so far :banghead:
