God, his ego will be even bigger when he returns now.

If I hear any possible talk of a contract extension for this lardy lump I'll be BBQing myself on a spit

2 goals against Italy, fucking class Bendtner lad. Anyone thinking this lad (who did I mention just scored 2 for Denmark against Italy) can't contribute a lot to arsenal this season in a league rammed full of shit needs their head examined. Denmark's best ever striker is back playing for Denmark, and by god have they missed him. They've got Nic he's got loads of pace.

Who gives a fuck who wanted him? Juve (bigger than arsenal) wanted him recently, did you give him praise for that? Watch his euro 2012 performances, watch him against Italy and tell me he's worse than Giroud. Fuck crystal palace, he'll probably still be at arsenal next season and if not he'll be at a champions league club of some sort, I guarantee it

Exactly, who cares. Apparently, back in 2007, Flamini was only wanted by Birminhgam but a few months later he's Arsenal holding midfielder and wanted by AC Milan.

Things change.

Exactly, I'll bet the Juventus fans didn't think much of him until he destroyed their national team, shit happens. After the euros and the italy game, and without a transfer fee, I think we can safely say there will be much better than crystal palace in for bendy, you'd be worth keeping his 52k a week on just to guarantee a transfer fee tbh, he's worth at least 8m. New contract or not, with enough time on the pitch this season he'll do a job, I keep saying it, put him in behind a striker and he'll destroy teams, he just raped Italy, its not as if he'll freeze against aston fucking villa

Played correctly and with a half decent team around him he can do the business. Always has for his country where they play 442 with him either alone or working as a pair . Not many score 2 against Italy and he's turned over other quality defenses too . Played right he's a league ahead of Giroud .

Play him behind the striker when we have Özil, Cazorla, Wilshere, Ramsey etc in the squad? Madness I tell ye!

He's different to any of them, more of a link player who can also get forward and become a second striker. If you're chasing a game he's worth bringing on off the bench, go 4-4-1-1 with Bendy in behind, keep Ozil and Cazorla on in midfield, fuck Wilshere and Ramsey, Bendy is better than the pair of them

To be honest mate I don't subscribe to your view that Bendy is a 'shadow' striker type who can play behind the center forward, he lacks the technique, touch, vision and passing skills to execute such a role. Well-known players who play such a role include Rooney, Suárez, Messi, Muller and Bendy doesn't share their characteristics. I don't see your fascination with him playing behind the main striker; I've never seen him play there for us never mind thriving in such a role, and even the goals against Italy came as a result of him playing upfront, as the main man. So despite how convinced you seem about him being a behind the striker type, I see him as nothing but your typical, 'targetman' type center forward, as also evidenced by the type of goals he scored yesterday.

I've just seen him play for SAFC, he struggled as a lone front man with hopeless balls being pumped up to him but when he drifted into midfield and out wide he made things happen and got us onto the front foot. He has good technique, vision (as he showed when getting his recent assist for Arsenal in the league cup) and can pick a pass. He's not good enough to be a regular starter for Arsenal but I'm telling you, you'll see him playing off Giroud this season and he'll do a good job. He can score goals as a targetman, he's a good striker, but his all round game is much more suited to a role in behind. Time will prove it, for now i can just go on what I've seen, I wouldn't start him for Arsenal but if you're losing I'd bring him on for a midfielder and tell him to link with Giroud
