THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Any of them would be an upgrade on Le Cock
anyone want to tell SteveO about Bob Monkhouse???? :worried:
Still more tactically aware despite his fondness of pushing up daisies

Lowest points tally after 12 games for 32 years. Shocking.

Wenger's record vs. United since 2009: won 1, drawn 3, lost 11
Wenger's record vs. Mourinho: won 0, drawn 5, lost 7

So that's 1 win in 27 attempts!

The man is finished. :|

Klopp says he wants to come to England....if the top brass has any concern for the long-term good of the club, which I doubt to be honest, tap him the fuck up, get it sorted for next summer.

Unless there is a total implosion, I can't see anything happening until then, although I will rejoice if something did.

Isn't it amazing how quick Le Twat distances himself and blames his players when it all goes wrong? Calling them "naive".
Yet after that jammy scrape at Anderlecht, it was down to "tactical changes for the final minutes"...
:rubchin:
It's disgraceful and classless what Wenker is doing. And he's unaccountable for it. Makes a mockery of us being "run the right way".
Citeh, Chelski are far far better run clubs with superior managers but crucially, competent ambitious top brass who won't legislate for failure. Meanwhile at Farcenal FC, the board say:
"If Wenger has a plan we back it. If he doesnt, we keep quiet"
The line manager who interviewed his own CEO. Who after 10 years of consistent failure was rewarded by being made the highest paid manager in the league. The absentee billionaire scrounger who ignores fans, takes £3m for himself in "advisory fees", despite overseeing one of the worst Arsenal teams in decades.
The manager who consistently talks down at fans. Who guaranteed a replacement for TV5 and lied, who fucked off to Rome on deadline day whilst fans were asking themselves if they could afford a ST. The moron who told fans after the Anderlecht he would keep bombing players forward, and proceeded to do it at Swansea and v Manure, unbelievably, and loses back to bank games for it.
Worst start to a league season in 32 years despite spending over £70m over summer, an abysmal defensive record, beaten nobody above the bottom 6, continues to have an inferior head to head v Jose compared to Pulis; and sits behind Pardew the dead man walking, in the league.

The manager who made CL history by chucking a 3-goal lead, seasons after chucking a 4-0 at Newcastle, losing 8-2 at Manu and a win record v United lower than now 6% over the course of 15 games
The manager who gift-wrapped Cesc Fabregas to Chelski but was happy to welcome shite Flamini with open arms.
The manager who shamed the club with a sickening Jacqui Oatley interview, that was destroyed 6-0 in his 1,000th game and refused media duties. The same one that promised in 2011 that he'd consider his position if the club didn't win the PL then, spoke of his "pride" at finishing 4th.

The manager that in 17 years has never won the CL and let Ashley Cole go in the biggest joke transfer ever seen.
The one that rails against excessive wages in football but continues to take in coin at the fans expense. The one that after 30 years in football, does not believe in tactics and never studies the opposition. The manager that broke a CL record for going 90 mins of a game without a shot on or off target. The same manager that had lied persistently about the "lack of resources" in the first 7 years post Emirates move, even though his wages and Arsenal's wage bill spend went up to their highest ever levels - whilst accounts clearly showed their was £70m cash in the bank all along. The manager who spent £42m on Ozil and played him on the wing, who destroyed Calum Chambers' confidence by hanging him out to dry at Swansea.

The same manager who is usually on the beach or doing punditry work over summer whilst all other managers are closing transfer deals. The manager who made us a laughing stock by signing Silvestre. The manager who paid Almunia 60k a week and kept him at number 1 for 4 years. The manager that has made Abou Diaby a multi-millionaire even though he's done less work than someone oh the dole. The manager who claims he "agreed to stay here" over summer, as if he was dong us a favour. The manager that has made the mighty Arsenal FC the personal gimps of Mourinho and Chelski, United and City.
The manager who claimed "you cannot sell Fabregas and Nasri in the same summer and claim you're a big club" - before doing exactly that!

The manager who said in 2013 that "the last three years have been my most satisfying work".
This at a time favs were hit again by ST price hikes and Arsenal had gone 8 years without a trophy at that point.
The manager who just gave Arteta a new deal  made him captain and said that "captaincy is overrated"
The manager who you can guarantee endures each season he's about, Arsenal start with a 10-point deficit (3 away defeats to Citeh/Chekski/United), the manager who still doesn't understand tactical subs, the manager who has refused to let anyone coach the defence.

That's the Arsenal "manager" for you. The one some absolute braindeads actually went on a love-parade March in support of after he'd gone 5 years without winning a single thing.

Absolutely fucking rotten.

How long before Alexis realises he is the only player busting his gonads trying to win the ball, and the only player coveted by Chelsea and City?
The guy grafts like a one armed paper hanger.
He must also wonder what on earth he has done to deserve being stuck in a team that defend like a Blue Square premier side.

The most relevant points - the rest of your post is going over old ground and I think that we have more than enough embarrassing moments this season, without the need to use previous fcuk ups to highlight our demise
