Giroud, Podolski and Cazorla are fantastic signings by anyone's standard. They're as good as we could've hoped to sign this summer.flash gunner wrote:I think there is a middle ground between you and 1989. Red your description of our summer buys is OTT but then so is 1989's excitement about them!!! We have strengthened but have we done enough to convince RVP? only he knows and compared to recent summers we have but we still have no 'blue ribbon' signings as suchRed Member wrote:1989
do you really think the club has any ambition to win trophies this season if they are prepared to sell RVP to Man United?
If you do then you must be the most deluded supporter I have ever encountered.
we have so far bought a fading german player, a reserve french player and some unknown spaniard.
and you think that shows ambition to win anything???? or do you consider a top 4 place worthy of a trophy?
Why wouldn't you be excited? For once, we are actually spending money on quality players who are in their prime and ready to go. I'm absolutely buzzing mate. Whether RVP stays or goes we'll have a good team next year.
If he stays that would be the icing on the cake and I'd fancy us for a top two finish, particularly if we add a further signing or two (DM).
I think it's an exciting time to be a Gooner and most fans are similarly upbeat right now. RVP is doing his best to make us all depressed again and I hate him for that. If he's not impressed with our new signings then he can fuck right off.
