The Summer 2014 TRANSFER THREAD
Re: SUMMER 2014 TRANSFER THREAD
Vela is the most fouled player in La Liga. That takes some doing for someone who never gets tackled.

Re: SUMMER 2014 TRANSFER THREAD
Resigning Vela doesn't excite me but, for 3.5m, I'd be happy to see him given another opportunity. I'm sure we'd easily make a profit at any time should we choose to sell him.SteveO 35 wrote:Vela doesn't want to re-join us - well, no fucking shock there. He might actually get tackled once in a while, and unless we're playing Sheff Utd in the League Cup he might not get ample time and opportunity to try his fancy flicks and tricks. In fairness to the bloke he'll know deep down he's on to a better thing staying in Spain. He is as unsuited to the Premier League, as Bernard Manning was to the chairman of the equal opportunities board
Some people (no names and all that) might get carried away by his one good season in Spain and think he can reproduce that form here. Some of us with hair in funny places will of course realise that like Soldado (who also looked good in Spain), he'd be an absolute fucking waste of space if we re-signed him
People can argue that La Liga and the PL are different, but it's wrong to suggest he's only had one good season. In an average Sociedad team he's had three good seasons, scoring and creating goals.

Well no, mate.1989 wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmk8owwIG7s
If this was a player who never played for us, after watching that, everyone on here would be wanking themselves off silly at the thought of getting him for just 3.5m.

Vela doesn't want to come..............Vela is not coming

Remind me of your earlier description of him..........1989 wrote:Vela is the most fouled player in La Liga. That takes some doing for someone who never gets tackled.
Re: SUMMER 2014 TRANSFER THREAD
It's official, that snivelling little 2 faced wanker and one of the worst captains we have ever had has signed for that lot.
Can we move on now to more bullshit transfer stories?

Gutted to know Cesc will be playing for that riff raff. I could see both sides of the argument in us signing him or not, and he has to think about his career but this is the worst scenario anyone could have imagined...still finding it hard to understand why Barcelona moved him on in the first place.

No point. People bordering on suicide over this is hilarious. Nutty professor turned him down, so he then showed his true colours by signing for one of our most hated rivals after declaring that 'Once a gunner, always a gunner' and 'Gunner for life.'augie wrote:MrT wrote:

Re: SUMMER 2014 TRANSFER THREAD
cesc signing for that shower has totally ruined my summer, what I don't get is that when he left we replaced him in typical wenker trolley dash style with Arteta,Tets is now so past it its untrue so how the fuck is there not a place in the side for cesc, why the fuck did we sign Tets if it wasnt a like for like signing, the answer was staring Wenker in the face, you sell Tets and replace him with Cesc, ffs!!!! this only cements that we will sign no fucker this summer and if we do it will be total dross, youd think after our impressive implosion this season that inspector clueless would make sure it doesn't happen again,i mean how many humilations can that fucker take before he walks,he has no shame,if we get anybody in it will be the usual trolley dash,im fully expection kallstrom to be back here come aug 31st,FFS I WANNA SLASH MY FUCKING WRISTS

I'm totally fucking annoyed so fucking angry what a load of fucking shit cesc to Chelsea
Re: SUMMER 2014 TRANSFER THREAD
Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas before the World Cup kicks off...and we've signed ...................(insert words as appropriate). Not only that, but Cesc also makes it clear that Arsenal had the first option, so no doubt IG is hastily having to rewrite his press statement. If Messi becomes available, do we not bother on the basis that we've got Giroud and Vela occupying the strikers' roles? I always thought you signed players who could improve the team, and if they were better than you already had, well so be it. Fabregas was almost a one-man team before he left, or at least he provided most of the inspiration. Equaliser v Barca with a broken bone in his leg - no problem, senor. Even if Fabregas never gets into the Chelsea team, they will be laughing at us all the way though the summer and winter. This is a real kick in the teeth and the ante has now been seriously raised in terms of who we sign. Someone better than Fabregas, aged 27, so at his peak, and who was was available on a plate from room service, and who wanted to come home?? I hope I'm wrong, but I won't be holding my breath.

Re: SUMMER 2014 TRANSFER THREAD
It's funny cos for years the AKBs have used the excuse we have no funds etc...so now all agreed there's loadsa dosh (always was)...a world class player becomes available, Arsenal don't have to "compete with oil money" as they have first option. NO EXCUSES. What happens? Wenker refuses to deal and he ends up at Chelski! He is the problem Wenker he always has been. This had nothing to do with funds, oil money or any other bullshit excuse. It's incompetent arrogance nothing more and he's handed a team that dicked us 6-0 last year, and a manager AW has NEVER beaten in over 11 attempts a top-class creative midfielder that WE nicely developed for them. RIDICULOUS. The fans should be absolutely massacring AW for this he should be hounded out. He is in BRAZIL FFSBlock93 wrote:Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas before the World Cup kicks off...and we've signed ...................(insert words as appropriate). Your fault for living in a fairytale where you choose to believe that what 20-something year old Player X says at one moment in time has to hold true his entire career.MrT wrote:No point. Wilshere and Szczesny won't both finish their careers here, they've already been quoted several times along similar lines.
As someone else said "What's he meant to do, sign for Everton?" Him playing for Chelsea doesn't have to invalidate his love or respect for Arsenal, especially after - oh yeah - WE TURNED HIM DOWN. I feel like I'm writing for a 5 year old.
