As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
My eldest lad was telling me earlier that the talk this morning is that our move for dennis suarez is off due to a lack of funds Apparently the story now is that it will either be a loan now to buy in summer, or the deal will be off altogether
Maybe I am placing to much emphasis on words, but dick's comment in yesterday's post match press conference, said that he is hoping to get some players in to help us in the next 4 months - next 4 months suggests loans as opposed to full time signings, and I always feel that big clubs should never be signing players on loan cos it reflects badly on the club in question Sadly we are no longer run like a big club, so our needs dictate a necessity to get in players any way we can
Seriously dude I gotta call you out again, so now you're telling us YOUR SON is more in the know than anyone else, you should start a company up called nostradamus and son of course you already know this
His 15 year old son is probably producing more accurate info than the horseshit that appears in the Sun and on SlySports News to be fair....
By 63m, I assume we've made a bid of 63 metres of carpet or 63 mangoes.
Well that's one centre half as good as signed. If we can just get another one and then - oh, hang on....
You do know that james rodriguez is a prototype "number 10" and not a centre half ? Now if we still had a certain french senile old arrogant c.unt managing us, it would be a near certainty that we would sign him whilst the defence is falling apart on a daily basis

Augie my man were you watching my beloved Bears last night?
Fucking hell that’s as devestated as I’ve ever been after a non Arsenal related sporting event in my life. Inconsolable going to bed last night.
After the shit that went down all season with Parkey hitting the uprights I just knew what was going to happen at the death there, it just had that deathly inevitability to it when he stepped up, but to hit the fucking crossbar too on the way down but bounce out?

I actually fell off the fucking couch.
Absolutely gutted.
That was quite some finish wasn't it. I see the NFL have put it down as a blocked FG as one of the Eagles apparently got fingertips to the ball. Just to think that it could have gone upright, crossbar and over for the win........but it didn't
Yeah Jock saw there was the slightest of touches on the kick, probably enough to veer it towards the post and probably enough to put the spin on the ball which caused it to fall forwards off the crossbar rather than backwards for the win.
A one in a fucking billion scenario (the double doink bit anyway because we all know Parkey is a fucking pro at nailing the uprights ).
After he did it 4 times against Detroit you just felt some curse had come over him and he was going to hit the upright every time he stepped up to kick it.
Of course he fucking nailed the one just beforehand after the time out was called.

That was harsh wasn't it. Bearing in mind the kicking team also sometimes call a time out to give the kicker a practice go, I really thought he was going to miss the uprights again and stick it straight through. Would have been the perfect finish to the game and a real shame that Chicago went out.
So!? Are we signing a Grizzly bear at centreback with the initials NFL ? Or is Goldilocks signing for us, all the above posts are somewhat cofnusing.
Not quite mate, but you're close. Remember, now that TOF has fucked off we aren't going to sign any more Goldilocks types at CB (sorry centreback ) but we were hoping that Dick manages to sign a right nasty fucker of a grizzly to put in alongside Sokratis. So you were definitely right on track.

I'd change that rule in a heart beat, I think it's completely unsportsmanlike. Calling a time out just before the kick whether it be for a practice go or icing the kicker is against the spirit of the game in my opinion and should be outlawed. I know some people like the cut throat nature of it and the fact that it tests the mental side of the kicker (and to be fair it rarely works) but I'd still do away with it if I was in charge,
*Apologies for taking this thread off topic but as it's the transfer thread and 100% bullshit anyway I didn't think anyone would mind
