Not long before we beat the old thread. At least we did sign a player then.

Hopefully Wenger doesn't want to sign new players as he knows he will walk in the summer, that is the only explanation I can fathom for him not spending this window.

That would be the only acceptable reason for Wenger not spending, but sadly it's also the unlikeliest.

"The Gunners boss said it was unlikely that Arsenal would add to their squad in January but it was not because nobody wanted to move to the north London club.

He said: 'We have no problem in players wanting to join us. I'll give you my phone for 24 hours! We can afford 90 per cent of them.
'If you look at our squad, it's quite complete. We still work on the transfer market as well.

'However, we do not want to bring in average. We only want to bring in an exceptional player. At the moment we have not found him."

What a f*cking bell-end
I really hope he is saying that for negotiating purposes. The next 2 weeks will tell I suppose. Re signing Walcott is not enough as it is obvious that we need a back up keeper, a replacement for Djourou who can also double up as left full and another striker/ attacking mid, maybe Lopez ???

Baines, Given and Lopez would do me

McDowell has some work to do

How much does Diaby get from that "should be used for buying players, but let's injure of our own, make it look like a new signing and fill our pockets" money?

Yes Wengerball. It has happened!

No transfer widow would be complete without us being linked to

Loic Remy

Having been talked uf in the press by Giles Grimandi, Remy is surely the "most linked" ever Arsenal player, now steaming ahead of other highly linked players Stephen Appiah, Jerzy Dudek and Hatem Trabelsi?

I remember having a huge argument with my friend/pro evo rival because he was in the Arsenal side, even though he did not sign for Arsenal, in PES4.
Lillian Thuram, Patrick Kluivert, Rob Jones, Paul Ince, Robbie Fowler, Ronald and Frank De Boer,

Reported Arsenal target Lucas Biglia has failed to show up for Anderlecht's training camp in Turkey to fuel speculation linking him with a move away this month.

The Argentina international, who has been linked with a number of Premier League sides including the Gunners, Newcastle and Norwich, has gone AWOL this week, with the Belgian club already reportedly lining up a replacement.

AC Milan are also thought to be keen on the 26-year-old defensive midfielder, who is contracted at Anderlecht until 2015.

Biglia, who joined the club from native side Independiente in 2006 and is thought to have an eight million euro (£6.6m) price tag, has previously spoken of his desire to join a bigger league.

Anderlecht, currently on their winter break, released a statement on their official website earlier this week when Biglia failed to report for duty in Belek.

It read: "The Anderlecht board have unsuccessfully tried to get in contact with Lucas Biglia and his agent.

"Today the club has called in the help of their lawyers to protect the rights of RSC Anderlecht

Aside from it being officially the millionth time we've been linked with him Maccy D I don't reckon the club would particularly fancy getting involved in players going AWOL from their current clubs and all that nonsense.
