Transfer Rumours Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Can't quite understand why Walcott is giving the 'V' sign in this pic.

Chamakh OK - he possibly doesn't understand the significance - but Walcott?!?

Or has giving the 'V' salute changed it's significance for today's youth?

That's not Walcott pal, that's Traore, Song looks like a right stupid tosser!!!

I assume that this is the squad going to the airport, I touched upon this the other week, but they are representing the club, and they look like a right bunch of scruffy bastards who look like they're going on a jolly.... bring back the suits and show some respect to the club...

They were in suits going to the airport, that's not a photo from them going on the Asia tour - they've shown Nasri and another player suited and booted.

Both Villa and Arsenal have confirmed we have NOT made any bid for Downing

Barry B talking to Dortmund supposedly, 9m fee being mentioned

Are they listening? What's he saying? ("Sign me, I am the greatest...sign me, I am the greatest...repeat")

Wenger looking cool at the front. I wish he went back to wearing the Arsenal blazer.
Both Villa and Arsenal have confirmed we have NOT made any bid for Downing
That wasn't really the story though, it was that we had enquired about his availability. Let him join the Victims and have another season of mid table nonsense

Potentially good news for those of us hoping that we sign mata from valencia - their president of course says he is not for sale and no bids have been made by any clubs but he also said that his priority is to get a centre back for them for next season........straight swap deal involving squillachi and mata anybody ?

In other news wenger says that his purchase of jenkinson was "an interesting signing"........what the fcuk does that mean ? :? He also said that he is hoping that the kid will put pressure on sagna so is that an indicator that the club jester is on his way out ? :?

It was very early when I posted it, in my defence.

And I guess that explains the 'V' sign then. Bloody frenchies!

At least he acknowledges that it's only "interesting". I was beginning to fear that he was thinking of this as one of our big signings of the summer!

Cannot understand why the media is talking up Wenger's comments about Nasri and Cesc. Sounds to me like nothing at all has changed and who could really have expected Wenger to say anything else but that they were staying..... If nothing else, it's a ploy to increase the transfer fee being offered!
