As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Podolski banged in a great free-kick against Southampton, although by his own admission he doesn't score them that frequently. I've seen clips of Cazorla scoring some quality free-kicks for Villarreal and quite a few for Malaga.
To my knowledge Walcott has never ever scored a free-kick in his life, so why does he step up to side-foot so many into the wall? Even worse than this had to be letting Vermaelen take the free-kick from 25 yards out in a great position on Wednesday. Bizarre.
I have been thinking - things aren't bleak at all - I am coming around with Wenger signing his new contract - Can't wait! Maybe then we can just stick a cardboard cutout of him on the sidelines and he can just sit at home during games - just keep the pre-planned changes and bingo with some occasional water bottles flying - Bould can probably do that though.
We have made six signings this transfer window in the internal market.
We are still in for the Virtual Trophy
We are currently top of the table in the Balance Sheet Championship!
Abou is back - another coup for the internal market!
Any other imaginary, Ministry of Informasionish type awards that I am overlooking?

It's just embarrassing that it's been splashed all over the papers for ages now. Liverpool were reportedly paying Joe Cole circa £100k/w and given that their wage bill is about the same as ours, they must be wasting their money even worse looking at their squad. But that's not all over the news because they don't let contracts run out and then use the media to conduct negotiations. There has been a debate for weeks about Lampard getting a new deal without anybody I've seen mentioning that they would have to match his current wage for a bit-part role, which is probably at least £140k/w.
Instead we have his contract offer and wage demands plastered across the press for months, and £100k/w will be hanging over his head for the rest of his Arsenal career. Yet more pressure on Walcott seen as he thrives on it and a fantastic way to piss the other players off. Another public relations success for the club.
I'm kinda happy we signed him because I want to see if Sith Lord Venger plays him as a striker long term, and to see how Feo does over a long period of games (hopefully in a proper 4-4-2). But I'm a bit pissed off we are paying him such huge money. Has he earned it? Really? I don't think so...
Now if only Wenger had sorted out the other contracts that had wound down for all those BETTER players we've lost recently, rather than this no trick pony.

Look, its a lot of money but there are players out there getting bumper deals left, right and centre. Some of them work out and some of them don't.
Only time will tell
There are players on far more ridiculous deals at most other PL clubs. Difference is that they don't conduct their contract negotiations in the public domain.
